I recently picked up the HP OMEN 34c G2 and overall the monitor has a nice design, good size, and solid picture quality for gaming. However, I ran into an issue that potential buyers should be aware of. When running at the advertised 180Hz refresh rate, I noticed faint horizontal flickering lines in the top-right area and along the right side of the screen. I tested multiple DisplayPort cables, different settings, and confirmed my PC and GPU (RTX 4070) worked perfectly with another monitor. Interestingly, the lines disappeared when I lowered the refresh rate to 165Hz. It’s possible I received a defective panel, but for a monitor in this price range I expected it to perform correctly at its rated specs without needing adjustments. Outside of that issue, the monitor looked good and performed well. I’d recommend buying from somewhere Best Buy with an easy return or exchange policy and testing it thoroughly at full refresh rate when you get it.

The screen isn’t too big, and the curve helps with viewing details in games. The picture is clear and crisp too. Great monitor that isn’t too expensive

Highly recommend. I use for remote work and gives the perfect width for side by side apps. Curve is nice, not too extreme. Comors/brightness is great. Wife uses for her Xbox Series X and Switch 2 and looks great! Built in speakers is an added bonus!
