Would not boot and go straight to Bitlocker. Totally not acceptable for the price of this rig. Do your research. HP forums are littered with this problem (and others). Suggestions are that a cheap motherboard is the issue. All i know is day 2, it already required HP support. Look at specs.... After dealing with HP support for several days on a 2 day old PC i returned it and built my own (note: for same price i built a better PC). Do yourself a favor, buy your components and build it. its not that hard and you ensure the parts are quality. Gives you a sense of accomplishment anyways, lol.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that your new computer did not act as you expected out of the box. I see that you have already returned your computer, but just for your reference, BitLocker is a device encryption feature provided by Microsoft and is enabled automatically on Win11 devices.
