Customers are saying

Customers admire the Gaming Desktop's performance and the quality of its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU, frequently praising its value and suitability for gaming at 1080p/1440p resolution. However, some users express concerns regarding the system's cooling capabilities and the noise level produced by the fans, particularly in sleep mode. The compact case size is also noted as a potential limitation by some customers.

Strong, stable, quiet, and great speed. I pair this with an external hard drive, and I get fantastic results. I've been very pleased with the HP computers that I have used over the years.

Great bang for your buck. Best out of the box gaming option I think. I use it for work creating 3D models too. Runs so quiet it’s amazing. Barely even heard up after a long workday running multiple softwares.

Seems to be performing very well, no stability issues... Just have to say the fans are ALWAYS running, and though not always loud, the frequency they emit (somewhere around 100-120 hz) is annoying at best and never, ever disappears into the background - can't ignore it. I'm beyond my return period, so I'll try to find ways to address it without restricting airflow...

Huge heating, crashing issues out of the box

Unsure if I got a lemon, as other reviews don't mention this, but the CPU runs insanely hot. Temps in the 70s while browsing or downloading a game. Hits the 90s during gaming sessions. Crashes constantly. Undervolting seems to stabilize this, but since you can't change temperatures from the BIOS, you'll have to undervolt with HP software with every restart to stabilize. No crazy software or overclocking going on here, just crash after crash right out of the gates. This should not be an issue at stock voltage. Maybe mine's defective, I want to like it as its a good deal and solid hardware, runs games well when it's not crashing, but I can't deal with manually undervolting on every boot.

Prebuilts in my opinion should feature plug-and-play at a respective level for the specs that it provides. The only out of the box issues with this PC were rgb related in regards to the RAM (the OMEN software that was dedicated towards controlling the hyperx ram was not working); However, the optimization levels were solid with each part being in the 90th+ percentile on a userbenchmark test. Doesn't run remarkably loud either, with the plug-and-play certainly being at the respectable level for a 5800x and 3060ti, any average gamer would definitely be getting their money's worth with this pc.

What a great darned computer at an amazing value. Would never have guessed I'd buy a pre-build from a manufacturer (*ever*), but began to look at them when I needed a new rig and GPUs were impossible to come by anywhere near at MSRP. Phenomenal decision. After seven months of graphics-heavy gaming 4-6 days/ week, light video editing, and daily usage, do not have a single complaint or issue (aside from antivirus bloatware at purchase, but that was a 2min fix). Also appreciate the mature, subdued-but-still-cool look design of the case that looks great in my masculine design, upscale minimalist office. Very highly recommended. HP hit it out of the park.

This HP Omen gaming desktop worked well out of the box besides the temps being a little high for comfortable use. Even at 50% operating and GPU power levels, I was seeing 85+ Celsius at times. better fans, cooler, or case will help reduce the overall temps of the system making it perform flawlessly. Overall, good system.

The computer runs great for the MOST part. The GPU temps stay cool however on the CPU end the 120 rad that pulls as a out take fan does struggle to keep the cpu cool and on certain games it will reach up to 80° C even at fans max speed. I did flip the fan for a intake and that did help about 10° cooler.

I bought this PC for my BF and he stops annoying me after that. The cooling of the system is amazing, the 5800x comes with liquid cooler. 3060 ti also works pretty well. The only few limitations are: Motherboard sucks and have limited i/o and features Case is too small to swap to a long graphics cards like 3090

    things you should know

The system is as advertised and I am happy with it. I have had it over a month now and have been using it daily to game triple-A titles and I have it mining Ethereum when I'm not on it. There are however a few things you should know. The CPU (radiator) fans can be quite loud under load. The RAM is quite difficult to upgrade but not impossible. The reason for this is that HP 'coded' what RAM can be used in it. I presume this is to force you to buy it from them at what I consider ridiculous prices. You can get past this, there is a Discord channel and several forums with more info. The GPU does not have an SLI port. The RGB app, in my opinion, is pretty weak, confusing, and underwhelming. OK, so I have listed the cons, now for some pros. The case is very well built, solid and feels nice. There is a built in support bracket/column for the GPU. The front glass can be taken entirely off with the push of a button in the back. The motherboard looks modern and has heatsinks on the VRMs. Overall I am quite satisfied with this rig but I will be changing out the cooling solution for the CPU eventually not because it's flawed, just for personal preference.

Overpriced, overpriced, way overpriced. Look elsewhere. I tested this PC as it had a 3060 Ti and a 5800x CPU. Other than these 2 items the machine is not worth the price. Looks better than the Dell Alienware overpriced machine in my opinion but not enough for me to keep this item.
