Great pc
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this pc not knowing much but I don’t regret my decision it has great graphics and barley makes any noise. It doesn’t heat up so much and the cooling is good in my opinion. The only problem I have is that if I move the power cable a little bit while it’s on it immediately turns off but that’s the only downside I’ve found.

loving my new computer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has been a huge upgrade from my last one. I can stream, discord, and play all different types of games on this. Overwatch, Dota, Grounded - anything! Fans are quiet and computer stays cool for a long time. Turns on quickly. Some issues with the power supply but i just changed the plug and everything was ok.

High quality PC - Great Perfomance - Great Visuals
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much larger than I thought it would be - 17In Length 17 1/2 in Tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. Normal shipping wear on the box and the packaging was looked very secure. Some minor "bloatware" ie - McAffee and NordVPN pre-installed which was somewhat annoying but expected. The control apps were very nice, Gaming Hub - Lighting Control and Audio Control as well as a bredth of HP application that could be useful in certain situations. Playing Rust at near-max settings for 4+ hours the GPU temp hovered around 65 put went down to 61 and up at 68. Besides that the case looks great and the lighting, although fairly minimal looks really good. For those concerned about cooling with the 3060ti I would say not to worry as thus far for me the cooling as been great. Sound-wise I wouldn't be able to say as I have a window ac unit about 6 feet from the pc that drowns out any sound from the pc itself. The case and internals themselves look beautiful. The only issue I had was that I have two monitors but the case itself only has one HDMI port but 2 DisplayPorts so I had to purchase an adapter (~$10).

Pretty good for game's
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had it for a while and the only issue i have had. Is when it goes into sleep mode by it self it won't turn on again when i move the mouse or key board. So i just changed the screen time to never sleep.

Love my OMEN laptop but this PC is not up to par
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As mentioned in the title, I bought an OMEN laptop around Christmas 2020. That laptop is a BEAST. When the need for a desktop came up, I wanted to stick to OMEN since they did so well with my laptop. It was great at first. All shiny and new. but after several weeks, my CPU cooler could NOT keep up with basic games. Temp in the 90s. Ordered some thermal paste and redid the sloppy factory job. Temp lowered to 80s. Now, I'm looking for an aftermarket CPU cooler. Had I known these problems, I would've not paid $1800 for this. Highly dissapointed.

Nope, just no (please read to find out why)
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh no... Another 2 star review for what looks like a good prebuilt "Gaming" computer?... Yes, yes it is... The TLDR of this review: Pros: 1. System was readily available in my area so I was able to walk in and purchase it. 2. Looks pretty slick, RGB. 3. Has a decent video card which we all know is unobtanium at the moment. Cons: 1. Case design is horrible for thermals. 2. Lack of granular fan control causes the CPU to thermal throttle. 3. Locked BIOS does not allow XMP profile nor does it allow for timing adjustment. 4. Locked BIOS also means that you can change the ram of the system but you cannot get the advertised timings from said ram kit, you'll be relying on HPs hard coded values. 5. The PSU is "normal" in the ATX size, but since there's little to no space behind the motherboard tray, you'll need a modular PSU with flat cables to be able to get cable management in this small chassis. So just stay away from this machine and spend your money on something else. I personally got the cyberpowerpc unit with the 3700x and the 6700 xt for $65 less than the total cost of this HP omen and performs WAAAYY better. Now on to the actual long review! Please read on, you may find this useful and hopefully, save you some money from going this route when buying a system. This system has some good specs, but like most online reviews have mentioned, the performance is held back by poor thermals combined with a locked BIOS and a laughable OC/management tool that HP calls Omen Command Center. (Note: before you go on to say "Oh you can use Ryzen Master...", yeah, you can for only 1 option which is to try and get the RAM frequency up! But it doesn't let you move the timings around, more on this later) Thermals: The AIO this system was equipped with could probably do the job if HP wasn't so adamant to lock out the user from doing custom fan curves. HP gives you 3 options: silent, normal, and turbo. The first two choices do next to nothing as the system thermal throttles pretty quickly the moment you start doing anything CPU related. The third option keeps the system from thermal throttling AS MUCH (again, doesn't stop thermal throttling, it still happens just less frequently) but it does so by sounding like a jet liner taking off at full throttle. Idle temps were hovering around 65C, normal operating temps would spike up to 73C and gaming temps would go up to 90C. YES, 90! The AIO fan has enough static pressure to keep the temps from climbing any higher but due to the lack of fan curve control you cannot avoid 90C/thermal throttling, which essentially heat soaks the radiator. Aside from the AIO and CPU thermals, the rest of the case doesn't help. There's only a single 80mm exhaust fan at the rear which tries it's best to suck out as much heat as possible with little success. There's a 120mm up front that tries to push cool air inside. Both the 80 and 120 fans do very little to keep the temps down for the GPU and motherboard. All the components inside generate too much heat way too fast for just these two fans to do much of anything. The GPU temps at idle were OK between 35 to 40C, this is because the fans are always running and the card does not have a 0 RPM function. Once you start gaming temps climb as high as 85C, you can mitigate that by using MSI Afterburner and increasing the fan profile, but that's just a band aid to the poor case airflow. Finally, I had to read motherboard temps using a laser thermometer because I couldn't use HWINFO or HWMONITOR, they can't read the proprietary sensors properly. Temps hovered around 46C idle and climbed to 54-58C while gaming. (I took the temps at the PWM heatsinks and surrounding area.) Performance: Performance for this system is not only hampered by the thermals as discussed above, but by the locked BIOS that HP provides with this motherboard. Now you can use their Omen Control Center to supposedly OC the CPU, which thermal throttles. Some users have used the tool to undervolt and downclock the CPU a bit to keep thermals at bay, and again, hampering the true performance of a 5800x chip! Another lead weight is the RAM. HP uses Kingston Hyper-X sticks that DO run at "XMP" frequency of 3200, so good job HP! except the timings are beyond atrocious, 22,22,22,84! Omen Control Center includes a RAM overclock tab right next to the CPU overclock tab that gives you the normal 3200 frequency adn TURBO that boosts the frequency up to 3468, and that changes the timings to 24,26,26,98! Really?!?!?!? On a 16GB Kit!! These frequencies and timings seem to be hard coded into the BIOS because I changed the memory for a 32GB Adata XPG Gammix kit that, guess what, ran at exactly at the same speeds as the Kingstons. I tried using Ryzen Master to adjust the timings but the settings do not stick at all. Lastly, performance is not helped by all the bloatware that comes preinstalled with the system. A windows 10 reinstall helps this but to a degree because once you log in and start doing updates, all of HP services get reinstalled again, and due to the proprietary nature of the machine, you need them. Price: Yeah, we know where we're at with this, and it sounds like a good value in today's market, specially when you can just walk to a store and pick one up! Right? No, this system is not a good value at all! A 5800x paired with a 3060TI is not a good combination of parts, add to this all the short comings above and the answer is still.... a resounding no!

Perfect beginner P/C
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a solid setup for the price. Excellent PC for the money!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good! Fans are very quite even at high temps. Plug and play settings. Warzone runs flawless at high FPS. Definitely a great pre-built PC for the money.

Powerful and quiet so far
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't turned it off since booting. Heating is definitely not an issue 80C or so at most with 74F room temperature. I have the fans at loud mode (turbo) but they rarely ever go there. the Oculus Quest 2 VR performance is great with iRacing. no lags or quality loss. Well built, wiring etc looks really good from outside.

InstaReturn - HOT mess!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HOW DID THEY EVEN MAKE THIS THING?!?!?! Specs are impressive to say the least - I was surprised during this drought I found something like this. I use to play games and render videos, I have a small business that I advertise for and because it's always better than our employees I end up doing a lot of graphic design on adobe suite. For the twenty minutes I had this baby on, it ran at around 70-80 degrees C. YES! 70-80 degrees! I checked in BIOS and on thermal apps. I ordered a Cyber Power with same specs but lower processor power and wow what a difference in size! This is a VERY SMALL TOWER with only ONE FAN and does not have liquid cooling as stated in specs. Absolutely NO WAY to run GPU & CPU safely, it was warm to the touch on start up... I played Planet Zoo for all of 10 minutes and was at 85 degrees. Rendered video also reached 85 degrees.. Can't imagine if you through some serious games or even did light work on this thing while watching videos for hours. The HP accounting department surely had all of the input on the logistics of this beauty.. It's sleek and has a great look and great specs, just how those will pan out over time... I see it crashing. Returning ASAP. I want to keep this so bad but the case is so bad
