If you are looking for just a decent gaming experience on a laptop, there are way better laptops for better prices than this one. Number one, HP comes with a ton of bloatware that you have to sort out and get rid of. Looking at the specs of the computer, you would think it would be fine, however, you will never be able to hold the 144 fps refresh rate that this laptop offers. It will be well under this. This laptop is also not very easy to use. You have to want a challenge if you want to use this laptop.

when I received the laptop in the mail the box was half way opened and it had a hole in the side of the box about 2.5" in diameter. also I bought this as an open box said to be in excellent condition it still has a few scratches and the laptop was dirty but overall the laptop is a good product I just received bad service from best buy. also I would not buy this for gaming unless you upgrade the ram because 8gb is pretty weak for a gaming pc.

Battery life is very poor & the fan is starting to make noise.

Good starter laptop does most of what you need to do but if you’re playing a game you can’t do anything else otherwise it’ll lag

Works very well accept for adding a second monitor. If you try to play a game on an external monitor this laptop is crap.

The computer is great outside of the mouse pad. If the computer is on my lap the left button won’t work. If it is on a hard surface it works fine.

This won’t run many of your higher performance games very well. However, for basic games, and using it as a general laptop, it’s not bad.

Returnes this after a couple weeks, did not like the aesthetics.

Didn’t like this laptop, was slow and keys didn’t feel right! I returned it for a Dell.

Sort of expensive. The video card is not strong enough to run the VR game that I wanted it to.

The battery does not last long for the applications it is being used.

Bought it primarily for gaming per salesperson recommendation. Had to exchange for more expensive MSI laptop

I bought the computer, the battery last only 2 to 3 hrs I returned, and order another one , and have same problem , I the worse computer, I need to return again, and Best Buy, don’t want give the return if you don buy the guarantee. And only have the computer for 2 week!! Really bad computer.

Terrible purchase. Cheap construction materials that wear quickly. Problems with overheating from the start and SSD failed in less that two years. Stay away from HP laptops.

I just got this laptop,my question is How is possible laptop fan is running constantly ,sometimes really fast and loud just browsing in the web or watching YouTube or Netflix imagine doing gaming! I never noticed this kind of sound with any laptop !

Got way to hot while gaming. Just about unusable. Feels cheap in the hands

It's a little slow to load up, but a good over all PC

This is honestly the worst laptop I have ever owned. The ethernet port cover prevents my cord from staying plugged in as it pushes down on the cord and pops it out. There is NO space on it compared to my Dell Inspiron laptop that I sadly gave away after buying this thing. I can have ONE 'large' game on this thing and that's it. I had to give up everything else I play as this one game it allows me to have takes up half the space on this thing! It's constantly getting disconnected from my Wi-Fi (as I can't use the Ethernet cable!) And this laptop was SUCH a pain in the behind to set up as it refused all of the information I tried to put into it! I paid well more than what they're NOW charging for it, this laptop was NOT worth the 1.2K Best Buy charged me for it! AVOID this one!
