Help
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HDMI connector on this monitor has an issue that causes this monitor to black out off and on ALL day. I am working from home and bought this to use as my work laptop has a very small screen. I have tried multiple hdmi cables so that is not the issue and the screen on my laptop does not black out so it has to be connector on my hp monitor

Good picture terrible stand
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What should have been a easy 3 screw assembly was made difficult by cheap screws and poor quality design on the stand. The monitor is great but not worth the aggravation

Great Monitor - Large Screen, High Resolution
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, a fantastic monitor that has clear, crisp resolution for video, photos, and every day tasks (email, spreadsheets, etc.). You'll notice it isn't 4k, but is definitely better than 1080p. There is definitely enough real estate to have multiple windows open at once making multitasking easier than ever. It even worked wonderfully with my iPad. Setup takes just minutes and is pretty much plug in and go. The settings are easy to configure to tune the monitor to your liking. For most users, the default settings will be just fine as the monitor is tuned well right out of the box. With a monitor this big, you will need to make sure you have the space to sit back a ways from it as sitting too close will reduce the clarity of the monitor (pixilation) and just really hurt your eyes after a while. A great monitor for work, play, and even watching movies. I recommend this monitor fully.

Disappointed...never met an HP monitor i liked
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not hapy at all...ordered an asus in same price range and much more impressed with asus. QHD does nothing since media is either 4k or 1080p. Text becomes small although sharp.

Performance does not match stats
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor from the Best Buy website, picking it for the stats on resolution and brightness. I had to return it. It’s terrible. Probably the darkest and most fuzzy picture I have seen. Even text on this screen look terrible. Definitely do not waste your money on this monitor.

Eh
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality not great. Monitor slightly too large to fit on desktop and comfortably use for multiple hours. A lot of flicker.

Overpriced for an outdated product.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered for $267.49 but I have soon realized it has 60Hz refresh rate and not at all useful for photoshop or gaming activities. only thing good with this other than 32 inch size is its QHD display. Very low refresh rate and less ports and tilting angle are not good for the price I have paid.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice monitor but as soon as I turn on the Radeon freesync it starts to flicker a little bit. Very annoying. I have the older version of this same monitor and it doesnt do this so I know its not my hardware.

Disappointment for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is a disappointment for the price. The appearance and colors are flat. I don't recommend, there are better monitors for the price. I wish I hadn't bought it and will be giving it away.

Size, Clarity, and Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and above all, this monitor is HUGE. Its a television made for active computer users. I had to clear off my L shaped desk and rearrange my setup to find the right place for this monitor. The viewing angle is very forgiving, and once you find a place for it, however, it is the king of your productivity and entertainment. The display on this monitor is beautiful. I have used it for photo editing, streaming movies & television, and gaming. It not only does these with ease, but brings a new appreciation for the colors it displays. On top of a great display, the monitor is thin and looks good sitting on your desk when it is off too. With the size and flexibility of this monitor, you may find yourself using it for more than just your basic computing needs. And luckily, this monitor has plenty of inputs to accommodate. Overall, this monitor will not disappoint. Is it a replacement for a multiple monitor setup? It really depends on your needs, but I have no doubt that as a professional or a hobbyist alike would really enjoy the size, clarity, and features of this monitor.

Excellent Productivity Monitor for the Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Pavilion is an excellent day to day productivity monitor for a small or home office (SOHO) environment. The QHD resolution is much better than standard HD (1080p) without getting into super small screen elements from UHD (4K). This is the perfect monitor for those who want to hook up their laptops directly or via dock with the multiple DP and HDMI inputs as well as the small desktop footprint of the stand. This is not a great gaming monitor however, as the VA display with 20+ms response time is not what you want for gaming. If you want a multi-purpose display for work and gaming you will want at least an IPS display. The VA display on this panel is similar to the panel technology used on most mainstream TVs. Overall an excellent productivity monitor but if you want a gaming monitor you are probably better off grabbing a 27" QHD TN or IPS display. For productivity this display is hard to beat!!!

Big, Bright & Beautiful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came in a big, colorful, HP box. A HDMI-HDMI video cable was included. Might get a Displayport to Displayport video cable later as I will need the HDMI cable for a docking station for my Pixel 3XL (Android Q desktop mode). Monitor can handle USB-C video but my Chromebox doesn’t have USB-C. Chromebook does have USB-C tho. Before I used an overhead built in ceiling light bulb for my old 23.8” FHD monitor. But the larger 31.5” display of this QHD HP monitor might be bright enough that I don’t need extra lightning. Using monitor on a Lenovo Thinkcentre Chromebox. With HDMI video input you should be good to go on just about any PC. Displayport input an added plus too. Blue label on bottom of monitor sez USB-C Video so I assume I can hook up a Google Pixelbook and/or Pixel Slate to play Stadia online, streaming games later this year. My HP Chromebook x360 has USB-C so maybe I’ll try it soon. Don’t need built in speakers as I use a good bluetooth speaker. Set up was pretty straight foward and didn’t take much time at all. I’m not a gamer but would like to try this monitor out with Google’s Stadia online, streaming, gaming service later this year. Nice to have a big beautiful display for my old, aging eyes. Note my HD 1080p webcam is still 1080p and not QHD. QHD doesn’t apply to webcams. This is my first QHD display. Been reading about this standard for laptop PC’s for quite some time now. And glad to be able to try it out. So far, not disappointed. Recommend this monitor for anyone who wants to go big and bright.

Great Monitor especially for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor, very sharp and shows detail. Been using for gaming for years now and haven't had an issue and through multiple moves with zero issues. I fully recommend this monitor. Great for watching shows or gaming, and big enough to allow multiple programs on the screen at one time if desired/required

Might be just a smidge too big...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As LCDs have gotten cheaper, monitors have gotten bigger. This is a trend that I have never really had much reason to complain about. but some have begun to ask as the distinction between a moderately sized TV and a desktop monitor gets ever blurrier if there might be a point where monitors just get TOO big. As much as I hate to admit it... I think we might be starting to bump up against that point. To be clear, this monitor doesn't look bad by any means. The QHD resolution is a noticeable improvement over 1080p, and honestly doesn't seem like that much of a step down from full UHD/4K. But when you're sitting two feet away from a 32 inch display it's very hard not to see some of the pixelation. There's some distinct blur going on at the edges of text, and while it's nothing you can't get used to I kind of feel that if the monitor were just a couple of inches shorter along the diagonal it would be able to do a much better job at hiding its sins. As far as gaming, it's a bit of a mix. The screen easily takes up most of your field of view, which is nice, and as relatively few GPUs can reliably drive 4K resolutions on the latest titles I'd say the lower resolution is fine. And the fact that you can get it up to a 75hz refresh rate is definitely a major plus, as most monitors this size (and at this price point) will top out at 60. But you'll notice pretty quickly that the monitor isn't particularly bright, and as such tends to skew towards warmer, more muted tones rather than the vibrant colors you could get with a dedicated gaming monitor. Activating the Freesync profile gets you about the most vibrant colors you can manage with this thing, and it still looks like there's some blue-light filtering being applied. It's pretty fantastic for productivity though. This isn't a monitor that's likely to produce an abundance of eye strain, and the matte finish means there's next to no glare to deal with in brighter rooms. And with this much screen real estate to play with, multitasking is not a problem. It's definitely not going to replace an ultrawide or dual monitor setup, but if you don't have the necessary footprint for that this is a great alternative. I also have to praise the fact that it's one of the few monitors I've seen to ship with the option to connect to displayport over USB-C, making this a great option if you've got a more recent laptop you want to use with it. Overall my impressions were that this is a good monitor, but outside of its size it does very little to stand apart from the other options out there. Unless you're expecting it to take the place of a much more expensive gaming monitor with a high refresh rate and outrageously expanded color gamut I don't think there's much that would make you dissatisfied with having it on your desk - but it's definitely a unit that'll feel most at home in an office.

Not the best for gaming, but still a great monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worth picking up if you aren't after the latest and greatest gaming monitor. I've thrown sports, racing, and some shooters at it, and it's held it's own. Sure, it's not buttery smooth like 144hz and 240hz offerings, but you're getting a heck of a bang for the buck with this display and gaming needs aside, the picture and colors are extremely crisp. Black levels: 9/10 Contrast ratios: 8.5/10 Color: 8/10 Backlight flicker: I haven't noticed anything. Nothing like other monitors I've used. FreeSync: Supported. Put the monitor in "gaming mode" using the OSD and then enable it in your driver. Range is 48-60 Hz. You can also bypass 60hz and go up to 70hz via driver menus. Stand: Tilt-adjustable. No pivot. Included in the box: power brick, power cable, DisplayPort cable, HDMI cable, stand, monitor, VESA adapter plate
