This laptop is working very well. It is fast and looks really good.

Fans run every 5 minutes and are very noisy- be warned that there is no fix for this. You can disable always-on fan in the BIOS, you can set it to "Quiet" in the OMEN gaming hub, you can even strip the dust mesh out, but nothing will eliminate the fans whistling every 5 minutes even when all you do is browse the web. Do not purchase if you intend to use in a space without overwhelming background noise. Battery life is poor even when just doing web browsing and spreadsheets and there is no setting to cap charging at 80% for preserving battery life, only a nebulous "Adaptive Battery" setting in the BIOS. Beyond that, it makes a decent gaming laptop performance-wise but is a poor choice for using as a replacement for an everyday work/play machine

This laptop is really smooth, gaming performance is outstanding, and definitely worth it.

Took a shot on this for my daughter's 16 birthday. She's wanted a gaming laptop, but I didn't want to go overboard, and spend an arm and a leg. She got it set up in minutes and loves it. She plays Steam, Roblox, and Minecraft and absolutely loves this laptop. Would 100% recommend.

This is a great laptop but can get overheated easily I don’t really play anything strenuous on it so it works for what I need

I found this good deal at Best Buy online-store to replace my non-upgradeable end of support Windows 10 laptop. Received it next day, setup was easy including transfer of content. While it is a gaming laptop, I don't use it for gaming. My reason for giving 4-stars is the constant hum of the fan. Overall, it meets my needs.

I recently purchased the HP Victus gaming laptop from Best Buy, and overall it’s been a solid choice for both gaming and everyday computing. The Victus delivers good performance for the price, handling popular titles and multitasking with ease thanks to its capable CPU/GPU combo and ample RAM.

I feel it's a great computer. I've been using it for over a year and a half and so far it's worked very well.

Pretty solid gaming laptop to play some newer games but it has poor battery life, I recommend just keeping it plugged in while playing or use eco mode if you decide to use it for school or work.

Great computer. Hasn’t given me any troubles at all, but the battery dies kinda fast. Other than that the computer is great and has great graphics.

Got this for a good price. I would not buy this for a gaming laptop for current games or AAA games. It’s just not going to cut it. I got it for work and it’s more than I need for that. I one bad thing was it’s only upgradable to 32gb RAM. I looked around online and it looked like 64 would be ok but it’s not. It is also not the simplest to upgrade as you have to remove the entire back. You will need a plastic tool to pry it off after removing the screws. Overall good for the price. Especially for work. Just don’t fall for the “gaming laptop”. Battery life is also not good but I keep it plugged in.

This laptop was a game changer for me, I loved it! The only problem is that it lags every now and then but nothing I can't handle, also the battery life runs out a bit fast depending on what you're doing like for example I use it to play Roblox, so it goes down quite a bit fast but other than that I've been needing a laptop like this.

This laptop is good for gaming. My son enjoys using it for his games.

This makes a great laptop with Pop-OS installed. Windows sucks and attempting a clean install of windows was so frustrating it made me switch to Linux. The 3050 is more than enough for light gaming and the 13420H is more than up for it. A little heavy and power hungry but that is expected. For the price it was perfect. Good quality which I come to expect from HP. I rated everything as excellent from the perspective that it is a inexpensive gaming laptop. When setup with Linux it is much better than windows.

This is an excellent laptop. It handles gaming well, and stays cool during long sessions. The battery life is good, and can be away from an outlet for a while.

Worked great even when it would pause for a sec while gaming, it seemed to be in my favor, font ask me how. I took it in for more memory and one other upgrade. It would not turn back on after the work was done. Very strange cause nothing was wrong with it before.

Our HP Victus had a seemless start up, crisp and clear image resolution, clean sound, super comfortable keyboard, and is lightweight but substantial. We use primarily for business purposes but our Victus does everything and more.

I can work and games with ease! Love it! Bought one for my daughter as well!
