Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Victus 15.6" laptop's strong performance and good graphics capabilities for its price point. Many appreciate the option to upgrade the RAM, but some users mention that the battery life could be improved and that the screen brightness may not be sufficient in all situations. Additional feedback points to the build quality as decent and the weight as manageable. While some find the fan noise noticeable, others report that the laptop does not overheat excessively.

Bought to utilize as a work PC and maybe some light gamiing. Light gaming is all about this is good for. Plays most games well at basic to low settings in 1080p. The 144 refresh is the biggest pro for this laptop. I would not recommend this to a gamer. It is a great starter PC for a kid imo, but that is about it. It's ideal for games like minecraft and solitaire. Save your money for something a little better.

I have had this model for 12.5 months. In that time the SSD went bad. Got corrupted and would not be read by the motherboard. The screen has severe light bleed in the lower left portion of the screen, and the last and final thing to go wrong is the charging circuitry is bad. Last week unplugged the machine and it immediately shut off. Started troubleshooting the battery, updated firmware, replaced battery 3 times. HP support is non existent for out of warranty queries, they want me to pay $100 just to talk to tech support who is going to tell me what I'm 99% sure I already know. A component on the main system board has failed and needs to be replaced... which will be an additional fee. Will never buy another HP product again. Terrible quality and no customer service

Not a fan of this design in my opinion. The fact that the screen wobbles each time is not what I call great quality.

This computer worked beautifully for 8 months and then it went dead. Now we have to send it in for service. Right before it died, one of the USB ports also died. I would not recommend this machine. It is too expensive for being used not even a year.

I will be returning it as it is extremely slow. It drags when you try and watch videos and was very sad since it does have the 8GB and the backlit light is not working. If you are really looking for a game computer because you want a faster computer for games------ I would suggest you look for a different system as this one is not fast enough to play a game or watch a Youtube video. I had to go order a different computer and once it arrives, I will return this one.

I purchased this laptop for both school and entertainment. I’m not a serious gamer but thought I might pick up the hobby in my spare time. It does not have enough memory to operate the only game I’ve ever attempted to play. Other than that it meets the needs of a basic computer. I will definitely need to upgrade soon.

Awful laptop. You need an extra 8gb of ram or else the FPS on AAA games are under 100, making the 144hz display useless. Not to mention the KEYBOARD GHOSTING. Its crazy that at least 5 times per hour the low quality keyboard ghosts and performs actions 10 seconds after pressing. On games such as valorant and fortnite, every few rounds the keyboard ghosting causes you to lose control and unfortunately lose. Just save your money and buy a laptop from a brand other than HP. I know this laptop may be tempting to purchase, but SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

I paid for the item, they never took it to my address, they insinuated that I stole it without proof and would not let me go to the store to pick it up, now they say they are going to reimburse me for what I paid when I told them many times that I needed that computer. You have wasted 2 weeks of my time. You are irresponsible and incompetent. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

The laptop memory of 8GB is too little. It nearly consumed all 8GB with very little running. Otherwise it is OK. However, the way HP has scammed their customers with their printer lines (bricking printers not using their ink) is unacceptable. I've bought their laptops and computer accessories for my family for a decade, but will be buying printers, monitors, and computers elsewhere now.
