I love this laptop but whom ever assembled my laptop decided yo overtightened the m.2 screw. This modle only has the one option to upgrade the drive and now i can't even do that. You could say its my fault, sure. But i know what im doing and this is insane. One star. HP get it together.

I tried to play VR chat on it. It’s not worth it. The graphics card is not strong enough and I need a video indicator.

Save your time, save your money. I bought this thing and it won’t work, when i turn it on it takes almost 10 minutes just for the screen to finally light up. I’m new to gaming laptops but my standard laptop is better than this thing. Returned within 48 hours

    Victus for the W!

Got this laptop for $450 on a Black Friday deal. For that price this laptop is more than great! The only bottleneck is the 8gb ram. I upgraded to 16gb by installing another 8gb Samsung ddr5 ram stick and this thing cooks. It plays AAA titles at decent frame rate. It also has fantastic thermals and keeps cool enough to maintain frame rates. The construction is built of plastic but it’s not cheap feeling. Feels solid! The keyboard is awesome and I prefer to play games and type on it as opposed to an external (I’m picky). The display is fast. It is moderately bright and the colors are good for the price. I love this laptop and have a blast playing all sorts of games. Well worth it if you can score a discount. I wouldn’t pay $800 for it, but $600 and under is absolutely fair. HP knocked it out of the park with this one!

    Upgrade the RAM

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

At first this laptop ran so slow that it couldn't even run the performance tests. Literally. It would not run them. Before I took it back, I first invested in more ram. I upgraded from the installed 8gb to 32gb. Now this puppy is very happy. I am able to run most games at a decent rate. The other two issues are the battery life and the SSD. The battery will juice in just an hour or two. Max. and there is only one SSD slot, so you expand your hard drive without jumping through some major hoops. In summation, Not very good as it is sold, but once you upgrade the ram it is a good buy.

Overall, it's a good laptop, I've been using it for about a month, I bought it on sale for 499 and I think it's not bad, you can play almost any game, but 8 GB of RAM is not enough, you can add more and feel comfortable, I approve

A good entry level gaming laptop for the price. It should play any game up to 2023 fine. In 2024 , the top spec AAA games will be a problem, due to the gpu and limites gpu vram. But at it's sale price, arond $450, that deal is great. It has two cooling fans, is a plactic build, but not a cheap felling plastic build.

You can upgrade ram, but not the storage. There is no nvme expand slot. Im stuck with small storage, and sd slot is only option to expand the memory. Also, wifi keeps cutting off. I opened the back to see if wifi wires are loose, but its not. Wifi sometimes disappear and i have to connect ethernet for internet to work! They need better QA

Laptop is probably great, but don't do open box.

Unbelievable. I bought this laptop for $419.99 as an open box, grade excellent at the store. Got home and it didn't come with a charger. According to their policy, if there is no charger it should be rated Fair at $379.99. Well, they wouldn't give me the difference, and they wouldn't give me a charger for their mistake. Best they could do if a gift card.....which wouldn't be enough for a universal charger at their store. I just returned the whole thing. Now I find out they are selling the same laptop I returned, with no charger for $450.99. Seriously what is wrong with this company.

I just bought this laptop today, my only goal was to download call of duty and play a very old game called command and conquer. The first thing I did was download call of duty and it asked me to play in safe mode and then after all the downloads, I finally got to try to play a match and it wouldn’t even let me get into my first match before it crashed so I would highly recommend no one buying this, especially since The picture on the advertisement is the new call of duty six and it can’t even play that

    Clock Won't Sync

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Spent hours of my life settling this computer up downloading Microsoft, HP, and App store updates and I cannot get the clock to sync no matter what I do. I have a good internet connection, I've tried everything the HP AI assistant suggested and I can't get the clock to sync. I need an accurate clock for what I am using this computer for so I will be returning it.
