I could not for the life of me get it to connect to my wifi when I was setting it up. Connected to my phones hotspot but wouldn’t connect to the wifi. Had to make adjustments in advanced settings but eventually got it. This is a starter gaming laptop and I’m a novice so it really took some research for me to get this working. I have a couple Steam games downloaded now and to me it’s running them without flaw so I feel it’s a good starting point if you’re looking to try out PC gaming

Firstly, this laptop looks great. Sleek, lowkey design that doesn’t scream at you with RGB lights. Doing college schoolwork on it doesn’t make me look weird. Screen is fast and smooth. Games play well on it on high settings. Speakers sound good. Only thing I’d wish for is a little bit more RAM (i can add more myself) and storage. It doesn’t get too hot after being in use on my lap all day. People will complain about the battery, and it does suck when you’re gaming because its a decently powerful laptop. Charges fast though!

I really like this laptop it fast and run well. the only thing the fan is loud and put alot of hot air out of it.

I picked up this laptop on Black Friday for $479, and you will not find a better deal at that price point. I also used the savings towards a memory upgrade and am now running at 32 GB of ram. The computer is much faster and runs the applications and most new games smoothly. I highly recommend purchasing this computer if the price drops again.

It’ll run everything from Hollow Knight to Diablo IV and then some. Gaming battery life isnt great, you will get about two hours if you’re maxing out the GPU. If you set it to battery saver mode and do some light gaming or browsing, should last several hours, maybe 5 or 6 on a charge. Pretty quiet when things ramp up but you’ll hear it unless you’re wearing headphones. Overall, if you can get it on sale like I did for $500, its well worth it.

Excellent laptop, runs a lot of games. The screen is nice. The battery is not the best, but it's ok.

Added an 8 gig stick of ram, nothing else can beat this computer for the price. Runs overwatch and fortnite at 144 fps to match the screen refresh rate. Bright and great colors, pretty much unbeatable for the price. Thermals are good and the cpu is an absolute machine.

Got the HP-Victus around the holidays, so I have had a few months to use it. I'm not a gamer but, I like the enhanced gaming features it offers (lighted keyboard, speed, etc...) as compared to other similar home office laptops. However, I later decided to purchase the Samsung 390 24" curved monitor. It helps with my personal office viewing comfort, but still allows me to disconnect the laptop easily to transport. Overall, I am impressed with the features and performance.

Loud but that is what you would expect with a gaming laptop at this price. Overall, it was worth for the price I got it at.

For the value this machine is great for gaming and streaming. Also a great laptop for on the go for working.

This was bought for my granddaughter's gaming and school work. She loves it. Very fast and plenty of room.

Nice laptop, good for gaming, but the battery life is really bad. I guess this is to be expected. I only get around 2 hours usually. Also the laptop can get quite hot and the fans can be quite loud.

This laptop beat my expectations. I wasn’t really expecting it to be this good at handling the things I throw at it. I’ve hooked up two additional monitors, external keyboard and mouse, play games on ultra settings while running other programs on other monitors and it handles it like an absolute champ!

I bought this laptop during the Black Friday sale. So far it works great. My only complaint is the battery life. It depletes in about an hour when on a full charge. I also upgraded the 8gb ram to 32gb. Now it runs super fast. I mostly use the laptop for office use. Haven't tested games yet.

Purchased as a gift for my teenage daughter. Needed to be able to run games and Microsoft applications for school. She plays via Steam and Origin as well as online for Genshin. Already a HIT! For the first time she is able to play with graphics levels on high. HP always makes great products and this laptop is no exception.

What an amazing laptop…. Graphic, speed, overall performance is beyond my expectations
