Gift for my kids so they can play games with friends. Overall happy- computer is quick and they don’t get any lag while playing.

So far it has worked OK. The wireless connection is really fast, but the actual execution of commands is slower than my last system. The pop-up blocker is on, yet every now and then when I click in the window, I am working on and an add will open a new window, extremely annoying and wasting a lot of my time. I figure it will take a service call to fix. I am using an external monitor, I was trying to load software to control my thermostat, had to load a driver to install the app, after rebooting the software the unit turned off the HDMI port. The only way to get it working again was to uninstall all the code for the apps, more wasted time and won’t be able to use the program. This unit had a temporary issue with the display when changing windows, the second screen was fine but the image on the laptop screen would distort for a few seconds, still nervous about that. I may have been related to the app install before I reset it. Makes me glad I bought the extended warranty; if it is an actual problem I hope it shows up within 3 years. Annoyed with the window transfer speed, I may call to see if that can be improved. This was not the system I wanted but needed to replace the useless Asus unit. I thought I needed an ethernet port for speed, but that problem turned out to be the wireless on the Asus unit. I will NEVER consider that brand again.

Bought this before Black Friday (as it turns out at the same price it was on sale for during Black Friday) and didn't have it set up until after Black Friday because I wanted to compare other laptops on sale during Black Friday to make sure I wanted to keep it. I didn't need a gaming laptop, but after comparing all the different laptops in the same Black Friday sale price range this one came out on top hands down. It was a lot faster and had a lot more features than all the others. I don't care that it's a little heavier. I actually like it because it feels sturdier. Other reviewers have complained about the battery time so I am trying to keep an eye on that. So far it's been ok. One thing I love is the backlit keyboard. Never had one before and it is really beneficial to me. The only problem is that at first I couldn't find out how to turn the backlit keyboard on, When I checked HP support they gave a picture for it that didn't match any of the pictures on my F keys. I finally figured out that you need to press FN and F4 together to turn it on and off. Had it installed for free at my home through totaltech. So glad I purchased totaltech with it.

This laptop work’s wonderful! Can run almost any game at high fps without issue. Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing first laptop to buy to get you into simple gaming

So far I like this computer, for gaming and personal use. This is my only computer. What I like about it is the upgradability of the RAM and hard drive. Upgrade my ram to 64GB, but that is overkill. Other than that, it is a good computer for multipurpose. One thing I do not like about this computer is the battery life. it is very small and short.

Great gaming laptop, runs very smooth no glitch. Runs even faster when replacing with 2, 16 GB rams.
