The battery life of the Victus laptop isn’t good at all having 2-3 hours of battery life with battery saving mode on while do work. The trade offs for last gen performance to battery life is what you paid for.

So far good. Like it better than my 2 year old HP entry level Gaming laptop with AMD GPU and Graphics. That dog has stuttering graphics and audio at times. Really only running Roblox on the new machine. No issues. Nvidia puts out monthly driver updates, and it is important to install them. Only thing I wish this had was a bay to install a second drive, as the the 512gb SSD is filling up rapidly.

Is this a high end gaming laptop? No. But it is a very good laptop for the price. I was impressed by the startup time and it has Wi-Fi 6. One non bright spot was the lack of CD burner, but I remedied that by buying an external burner. If you are not a heavy on line gamer, then this is the laptop for you. I also had another 8 gigs of ram put in for future use. RAM is very inexpensive these days and could make a big difference for some game play.

This laptop is great bang for the buck. It seems to be heavier duty than the standard HP build. I like the cooling grating across the back to provide more airflow. The speakers arent very loud, but obviously ear buds/head phones can augment this problem. The display is crisp and a good size. The keyboard again is a step up from the standard HP fare. Performance seems adequate for a casual gamer.

It is a good budget gaming laptop for the price, don't get me wrong. But it lasted only 2 years.

This is a great laptop. The only thing missing it is not a touch screen. After looking at a few laptops in the store we never checked to confirm the one we decided to buy had a touch screen. My favorite thing after working on laptop that I never considered when buying was the key spacing, it's a perfect feel and will be considered for my next purchased.
