Ok Gaming Laptop

It would last for a day and then go back to normal. Happens randomly every 3 or so months.

Great for gaming, but not really for work.

Overall, its a pretty decent gaming laptop for the price when it's on sale. Managed to run Elden Ring seamlessly. The only downside would have to be the battery life and the wifi card. The battery life even when on the built in power saving/quiet mode would only last a 1.5 hour class which kinda sucked as I had classes after one another. Im not sure if it was just my unit, but the wifi card on the laptop did not preform well at all unless it was directly plugged in via ethernet. Still, its a great laptop overall when on sale.

Like it but touchpad on Gateway was easier to use.

Am still learning. Touch pad sensitivity and scrolling have been challenging as was getting Word Pad to work and ridding laptop of Microsoft Word and its constant pressure to purchase it if I wanted to use my transferred documents, music, etc. Pleased with screen, sound and speed, my primary selection criteria. Like having Spotify readily available. I am gradually transferring files and folders from Gateway carefully and slowly with a long-owned 16 GB Kingston thumb drive instead of purchasing a software program. At this point, I am quite pleased that the hinge on my Gateway broke and required me to research laptops before the Gateway stopped working entirely. My wife's satisfaction with her HP Windows S laptop motivated me to hone in on HP.
