This mouse works on many different surfaces without problems. The only issue I found with this mouse is that the left button click doesn't work 100% as it should but other than that it's great.

Nice little mouse. Fits nicely in hand, has a tiny usb receiver. Inside the battery compartment is a nitch for the usb receiver to fit into.

This HP mouse works great and is comfortable in the hand for scrolling and clicking on links.

The HP Laptop that I have did not recognize the Wireless Mouse, which is also HP, and says compatible with the OS that I have on laptop. So, I can't recommend because it didn't work.
