Battery installation problem

Changed the battery and where the lead connects to the negative side of the battery goes got pushed into the inside of the mouse. Will be taking it back for a different mouse. Got it to work temporarily and went to HP website to download the driver for this mouse. So far no problems with it not working anymore. Hopefully that took care of it from not working.
