It's very fun to use this camera, and very easy. However the sync with the camera and low light performance can be improved a little bit.

First off HTC missed a very big customer service by not including a cheap inexpensive lens cover for the RE. No camera I've ever purchased did not come automatically with lens protector. Pictures an videos are actually pretty good. Battery life is good except for when streaming live video to phone. Does not last long. All options to save or stream or bluetooth pics and vids to phone or other source are really easy and great.

This camera exceeded my expectations. For an action camera is extremely durabale with out all the protective casing. Takes great photos and videos being waterproof is a great plus. Comes with 8gb of storage and to start that enough to play with. Love the wireless connectivity between the camera and your cell phone via the Re camera app.

Good small camera to document your trips. has wide angle, and also takes video. The only con is that battery life is too short.

Works well for what it is designed for. Difficult to tell some time if the picture was taken or if recording is on. Not for us who are hard of hearing, as you have to rely on a series of beeps to tell if it is working. Handy and easy to grab and go. My wife likes it fine.

Nice camera for quick pics, pairs nicely with my Android phone. Love the time lapse feature. Easy to use.

This camera came out the box ready to use. Just upload the program to your phone and you can stream while you are filming. My boys put the camera in a hat and had the funniest responses from people as they walked by them. This camera got a lot of responses from people and we laughed at all of the antics people were willing to pull while interacting with us.

Really enjoying this camera. Photos are excellent quality. People are impressed with it's tiny size and capability, and do not believe it's a camera due to it's unique design. I think I will be carrying this around with me often. It's small size makes it unobtrusive. Sound is excellent.

Takes great outside pictures. Nice and small and compact.

I've enjoyed using this as an easy to grab camera for decent pictures. Keeps me from worrying about my phone battery dying quickly after a day of photos. Quality is pretty good, especially outdoors. (Indoor is a little fuzzy if lighting isn't great.) WIFI connection to share photos is clunky. I find it works best to just plug the RE into the computer via USB cable and upload using that method.

fixing to start using on vacation trip, looking forward to using the slow motion mode & movie mode, great camera in low light conditions where you can't use a flash in some churches & museums, like the compact size & color choices, mic works well also!

I'll need to start of wit this is NOT a GoPro challenger. Sure it's very portable, mountable, wearable and has a wide field of view but it's not meant to compete with GoPros and the like. I am a videographer with 2 newer Prosumer cams and many older ones. I have been an early adopter of mini palm cameras since my first FVD-C1 that I paid an outrageous $600 (on sale LOL) back in 2005. I quickly moved up to the Xacti HD1. Same configuration but HD video and better zoom. I would still be using that camera if it wasn't for the sand that got into the lens. In 2010 my videography hobby turned more serious when I purchased the JVC GR-HD1U along with 3 other HDV cams the following years. All this leading up to my twin Canon HF-G10s which are perfect for recoding live music events and some studio work as well. I have always liked throwing in a small cam to get the one angle you can't with a standard size cam (even if true Prosumer G10 is 3 times smaller then my retired GR-HD1U. I borrowed a Hero 2 a few years ago to suction cup mount to the plexiglass sound shield right in front of the drummer but was not happy with the fisheye lens look. Nowadays they do a much better job at correcting the curved look and so does the HTC RE. Although I plan to utilize this in some videos my main yes will be for personal fun. It has good low light recording and really enjoy not having a bulky LCD to deal with. Image walked up to people with my arm raised at chest level and not until I point out test in recording do trey take a closer look and realize it's a lens staring at them. Being able to sync it to your phone as a monitor is a plus but the whole point is not to worry about the image and just shoot the moment. This is something I quickly have adopted with this camera and for the most part my videos have come out decent for what they are. That being they are spontaneous recordings of personal events. Much like my niece taking it down a snowy hill on a inner-tube at the Gaylord Palms Ice event in Christmas Day (near Orlando). I also synced it to my phone while she had it and was able to see what she was filming (until she got out of range which wasn't far about 20 feet). We had a great time with it test night and can't wait till I take it on some action shoots like my sail plane ride. One of the great things about it is that has a standard camera mount on the bottom, so any tripod or standard camera suction cup mount will work with it. They are advertising accessories and mounts but for some reason they are out of stock everywhere (either poor planning or or very popular?). I would highly recommend it to anyone especially when you can try and buy from places like Best Buy That don't charge you a restocking fee. The only causes are that it does not come with a lens cap which is bad way just a listing in your pockets. The only other lacking feature that I would want is a LED flash like the phone cameras that could also be used as a torch for video. I know battery life was an issue on such a tiny device and that would surely quickly drain the time to record which is already at an hour and a half but that is more than enough time between shots and I've always been accustomed to charge my devices constantly. I have also seen an external extended battery that is the same diameter as the RE and screws into the bottom, basically extending the grip of the RE. When I can find that in stock somewhere that will definitely be my second purchase, after the lens cap. I hope this review helps and didn't bore you too much with my background on my cameras. I just felt it was pertinent to The bases on my view and therefore this review.

I bought this for a trip to Jamaica and it takes really cool shots.. I purchased the underwater pack direct from HTC. Although it comes out of the box ready for 3ft I got the pack for 9. Easy to set up.. fun to use.. Wouldn't pay full price, but I got it on a deal of the day for about $80.00 off..

Used this at a wedding and got some great video, then used it at the reception and also got great video. Then gave the camera to the bride and groom to take on their honeymoon and got even more great video. No complaints about this camera.

First off, it fits in the hand well. The shape is very ergonomic. This camera will go into men's pockets or women's purses with ease, really a great design. There is no on/off switch. There's a grip sensor that turns the camera on immediately when you grab it, which is nice! As far as picture and video quality.. It takes very sharp, wide angle pictures for a camera its size. My only complaint is there seems to be a lag between pressing the shutter button before it actually takes the picture. So you have to be very still for about a second after clicking the button. The video quality isn't that great, I'd definitely stick with my iPhone for videos.

Daughter loves it, wife loves it, camera quality, water resistance and durability are excellent, bang for the buck! Only downfall, no windows PC app, just android and iOS compatibility. Not even a chrome browser extension!

Handy one handed operation - very easy to use and lightweight

Fun little camera with a lot of great features. Regular video, slow mo, time lapse, fish eye and regular pictures. Camera connect via an app (any brand, not only HTC) or with out an app and start snapping pictures! Phone can be used as a view finder screen, but I have just gotten use to taking pictures with out it and they turn out great!

Takes great pictures, has great features. Took snorkeling, adhered to restrictions stated in manual, and it quit working. In process of dealing with htc warranty to have repaired. Purchased on 12-10-14 and took to local Best Buy store on 3-11-15 after return from trip. Was informed that Best Buy had changed time of extended warranty for Elite customers and they would not help.
