I've only used it a few times, but I am very impressed. The photos are clear. The videos are clear & have great sound. Very surprised as to how easy it is to operate and with the results. I was skeptical about not having a viewfinder, but the wide angle lens takes care of that. I have not tried the viewfinder via the app on my phone, but have used the app to wirelessly download photos/videos and it works great. The instant "on" is a bonus, as you are ready to shoot. Everyone asks "what's that" and cant believe it's a camera so small & are especially impressed with the results. It's so convenient to carry in my pocket, but be careful not to hit the shutter button by accident when retrieving it. I've started to use the lanyard to avoid this. Know it's limitations such as not using in low light. I'm surprised this tiny, powerful camera/video wasn't accepted very well by the community. I'm happy I bought it, especially on sale including the charger base. One thing I am uncertain about is that you can't replace the battery, so is it obsolete then?

There is a broken tripod screw stucked in the tripod socket. I wonder how HTC's inspector passed this camera and sold to customer as new.

Don't waste your time. A smart phone takes better pictures and far easier to use.

I'm not sure the $200 price tag is justified. I picked mine up on sale for $100. However, the RE is a great device for what it is. The photos are good. The video quality is great. I have yet to use it in water. The slow motion is also a great feature. I've had a lot of fun with the time laps as well. The software on the phone side of things could use some work. At times it takes too long to connect to my phone. I would recommend this camera for someone that wants to take photos and videos on the go. The quality is better than what most phones can produce.

I do not have a GoPro to compare to the RE. I purchased this mainly to record soccer games and it works great. The wide angle really does a great job. We have used it to record parties and other activities. We really love playing with the device. My only complaint is the app doesn't work well with large files and you have to put the microsd card in a computer to access those.

So far, I'm really loving this camera, well at least when I get to use it; that usually requires me prying it out of my niece's hands. It's design is well thought out, and it really is ergonomically sleek. The video's sound is much better than I thought. Definitely check this out If you're looking for something that's easy to use, and takes good quality pictures. *When I first got the camera, I wasn't entirely too happy with the picture quality, but I realized that it came set with the 12 mega pixel setting rather than the 16 mega pixel setting. I switched the setting and I liked the quality a lot more. The only con is that it's not the best for very low light settings, aside from that, no complaints.

The good: great still photo quality, good video quality, fast access time, is not being recognized as a camera allowing you to shoot "real live footage”, small enough to carry it in pocket. I love all these features. The bad: the “one button start is being pressed quite often while camera is stored in your pocket given you unwanted videos and pics. Too often the camera is locking up, you have to reset it to company setting. I hope HTC will add a 2nd start button, to be pressed simultaneously with the existing one. that would eliminate the pocket actions. A bigger LED for camera on wold be helpful as well. I can’t wait to see the updated version

Don't bother buying. Would be ok if APP worked. Water proof Assessories in all Assessories no yet available. Buy Gopro.

Offroading Skateboarding wake boarding I Take this thing with me everywhere! It's a really simple little camera that dosent get in the way of life. i was tired of filling up my phone memory and my GoPro is just made to mount to stuff. So I got this camera to just keep in my pocket to record The little things in life. Best decition ever.

Great small compact camera. I do not have to worry about carrying a bag, fits in my pocket and takes quick high resolution pictures. Works great underwater too.

In have the Re camera, the charging base and a couple of the mounts. The camera works great. Video quality is good, even moving at high speed. Photos are good. The slow motion video and time-lapse video is great. This camera is not designed to replace your standard camera. it's designed to be an easy to use action camera. It serves that purpose very well. The battery life is good. Just be sure to turn the camera off via the app when you won't be using it for a while or before placing it in a case, etc. You can easily turn it back on by holding the shutter button down for 2 seconds. I recommend this to anyone wanting an action camera that is very easy to use.

I love my RE!! Unfortunately it was stolen out of my car a while back but the pics synced to my phone so i still have all those shots. Anyway time lapse is the coolest part about it. You can adjust the time it takes shots so you can do it super smooth or have a longer lapse. I love you can get a live feed too from your phone and take shots at a distance like for group photos and everything.

I been looking for a mid range camera and decided to purchase HTC Re during black friday. So far I have no problem using it! I love the quality of the photo taking by this camera. The ultra wide option is great when you need to take a group photo too. Only thing I don't like is sometimes you don't know how the pictures will turn out until you load into your computer or use the HTC Re app. Other than that, this camera definitely worth its price.

Not sure if it has been used yet, but it looked pretty amazing. Was a gift for my granddaughter so hope it does all it says!

I was so excited when I purchased the RE simply because of the price compared to the GoPro. The picture quality was great and was really easy to connect to your phone through the app. Unfortunately, after a week long vacation the RE did not last. On the 6th day, water entered the RE and no longer worked. We were forced to return it and will be investing in a GoPro. This device did not hold up for what we wanted to use it for.

It's a neat little camera to carry around and use. But due to a bit of shutter lag, need to time it right otherwise may get a blurry photo. But over all I like it for what it is.

It is dead on arrived. I had to go to best buy for exchanging a new one and the status changed to return????. I got new one. I love it. It is easy to use. Slow motion is bad.

So easy to use. Long battery life. I keep it with me wherever I go now.

Good starter camera. Decent point-and-shoot, and fun on the go. The sensors to turn on and off and to take photos are awkwardly place, but they tried. & the app's support and getting the software to cooperate with the device can be difficult. Pretty OK overall.
