Sir Sean Connery is at his best. He delivers and move this movie forward, just like the ship he is commanding.....excellent job.

As a huge Jack Ryan fan I own all of the films that have been made. Although a Russian with a Scottish accent is a bit odd, and this isn't as close to the source material as say Patriot Games, this is a great film and a requirement for the collection.

This non stop action thriller is about the defection of a Russian submarine Captain with his ship that was "built for one purpose". This movie does the best job following the book it was based on than any movie I've seen. Definate must for any Clancy fan.

I love movies like this one that actually have a good story line. love scenes, are not needed, it cheapen the movie. I'm glad this movie focus on situations that can happen.

Directed by John McTiernan ("Die Hard"), starring Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin (and many other familiar faces), and featuring great characters set against the backdrop of a cross-Atlantic nuclear submarine chase between the USA and USSR, this is one of the best action movies of the 1980s/1990s (it was released in 1990).

This is a very good suspense and drama filled movie with an excellent cast I highly recommend this movie.

My husband watches this film over and over it keeps him busy. The plot is great and the making of the film is very creative.

One of the Best Action Thrillers ever!! All star cast, Nail biting suspense! You won't want to miss one second of this one.

This is a great move. It is extremely entertaining. A must have for any serious collection.
