Very good action thriller from the always reliable Gerard Butler

I think giving this movie three stars was actually being generous. It by no means is a terrible movie but not great either. Just decent. That is my honest opinion. It has a great cast with Gerard Butler and Gary oldman and I also feel common is a very solid actor as well. Give it a try.

Very good sub movie good story good action. Worth the watch

As long a you can suspend belief about the basic premises of this film, it's pretty darn good. The action is intense. Tension builds throughout the movie. Technical effects are excellent. It's a great yarn with parallel stories about an American submarine trying to maintain world peace, a special ops team trying to rescue a Russian prime minister, and political leaders in Washington who are looking for war. The acting is excellent, but can't we find Americans to play American roles? Gary Oldman and Gerard Butler are great actors, but it always annoys me when they aren't playing Brits.

This "Hunter Killer" movie is excellent quality! The picture (displaying on our Samsung Neo-QLED 75" tv) is like being in a movie theater with an IMAX screen. The visual quality is clear, distinct, (of course, it doesn't hurt that the tv is super quality to begin with). The sound (using a soundbar) is superb. So glad we bought this dvd, as we enjoy watching movies at home.
