Really enjoyed this movie! It made it to the top shelf of my Blu Ray rack. Great military intrigue movie. Lot of moving pieces that come together (Submarine, Seal Team, Military Leadership) to give you a good view of the whole adventure. Lots of action and lots of suspense! Probably also my favorite Gerard Butler movie. Good supporting cast as well - even if Gary Oldman's character is a bit cookie cutter for such a brilliant actor. If you like naval or military/war movies, you should take a look into this one!

Fantastic movie, never lost interest! Just Great!!

I am a retired Naval Commander, and I really enjoyed the detail and realism in this movie. I watched the movie in 4K format then watched it again with the director comments active, and it's obvious the cast and crew worked very hard to include believably and drama in this story. It's a fiction not a documentary but I found it an entertaining story that didn't have any flat spots for me.

The world is in peril again because a crazy Russian general wants to take on the world. The USA selects an everyday man to command their hunter killer sub and sends him to solve the problem. Very good effects, and some good acting.

I feel the Hunt for Red October and U-571 set the bar for Sub movies. This film is definitely not to that caliber, but the visuals and sound make up for some of what the screenplay and acting lack.

If you like chess and action, respect warriors and strategists, admire and long for the sea; watch Hunt for Red October and then this move HUNTER KILLER the same night. SO GREAT! Buy it, Watch it uninterrupted! “The wind and the waves are always on the side of the ablest navigator.” – Edmond Gibbon
