Very crisp 4K. Good Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Excellent detail.

This was not a good movie I did t like it at all just got it for my husband

This was an ok film action was cool and the acting was ok.

To me I would have to be honest and say this was definitely not one of Gerard Butlers best movies... the movie was ok at its BEST. it definitely wasnt his best performance.. SPARTA PREPARE FOR GLORY!!!

I didn’t have high expectations for this and was still disappointed. Great cast, but bad script.

This movie did have a couple of action scenes but other than that it was ho- hum .

The expectation that we see in this movie are a bit more than I personally believe

Have not watched the movie yet. On initial opening of case there is No digital code and finger smudges on the 4k disc.

I have made purchasing decision solely on the sales price on this movie. This is movie was very boring. Not that great movie to enjoy ! Don’t buy it.

Great movie, but we had to finish watching the movie streaming because the BlueRay disc froze halfway through.

Great action , great acting , love submarine movies

This movie would be ok as a rental but not to own. The main plot is a renegade Russian Admiral tries to start a nuclear war with the US while holding the Russian President prisoner at a naval base. Gerard Butler is the main character as the US sub commander and Gary Oldman’s character is a US Admiral. Yes, Gary Oldman doesn’t play a Russian villain in this movie, but his character a complete jerk in two scenes. The first is when a lower ranking Admiral comes running out of the headquarters and explains an emergency situation to Oldman in the downpouring rain. Instead of letting the other Admiral into the car or going back into the building, he lets the Admiral stay in the rain to get soaked. In reality, an Admiral wouldn’t be so callous to another leader like that. The second scene is when things go really bad and Oldman’s character goes on a screaming rampage in the middle of the command headquarters. He may lose his temper, but it would be behind closed doors and not in the middle of the operations area. Senior leaders are selected for their calm under pressure. The script writers really messed up Oldman’s character. Gerard’s character is all acting. No action. Yes, no fight scenes from Gerard, which is a disappointment after watching all his prior movies. Instead, his battles are trying to keep his “know it all and question everything you do” second in command to follow his orders. Sadly, the second in command’s character is very realistic as there are those who think they are smarter than the commander as they don’t try to think through the commander’s instincts and intuition. As the movie progresses, Gerard’s instincts and decisions eventually bring success and prevent a war. If he had followed the standard playbook and second in command’s advice, they would be all dead and war broken out. What ruins this movie is the land action scenes with a team of SEALs miraculously infiltrating the Russian naval base, rescuing the Russian President, and managing to have him swim across the bay and still outrun a group of mutinous Russian soldiers/ sailors that were chasing them in vehicles. Duh, somehow they managed to get the Russian President to climb down outside a five story building, but they forget to set up an escape vehicle. Another mistake is when the Russian President was first captured, one his bodyguards is shot and tossed into the bay. When he is miraculously found by the SEALs, they can somehow not only treat his gunshot wounds, but also hypothermia in a matter of minutes. He then manages to swim back across the bay and then silently climb up the five story building to help the SEALs rescue the Russian President. Too far fetched. It would have been more realistic if some of the Russian sailors/ soldiers realized that the Russian Admiral was performing a coup and tried to stop him, thus helping the Russian President to escape. The sea hunt was entertaining however and they did a good job trying to make it exciting and suspenseful, but the land fighting scenes were ok. Overall, a rental quality movie.

I think that "Hunter Killer" was one of the greatest action films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite action films of all-time. I really enjoyed this film and I also think that "Hunter Killer" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an amazing and original storyline.

Al though, the movie didn't do good in the box office, i found it to be very good. The sound track is truly immersive, the explosions are chess pounding and it has good use of surrounds. Picture quality could have been better, however, the movie is still good. This movie is a perfect example of ordinary lives, making hard choices and taking risk. This movie kept me in my toes .

Action packed, edged of your seat military thriller. This movie could have been even better If it had been the sequel to Crimson Tide. The sub Captain should have been played by Denzel Washington and the Rear Admiral should have been played by Gene Hackman

Outstanding! I wasn't hoping for a Hunt for Red October or a Crimson Tide as those movies deserve Oscar awards, no instead I saw the most Top of the notch Ultra High End latest technology a submarine can have. The action is epic and you will eventually end up watching this movie over and over again. Call the pizza guy, make sure you have Pepsi and Popcorn ready because this is what theater is about and with Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman and others, this movie nailed it to the teeth! This is a True Dolby Atmos and True Ultra HD with brilliant colors that will make your OLED TV come to life. Put this on your submarine Wishlist and get ready for some theatrical action!
