This movie was suspenseful and action packed in the line of The Hunt for Red October with Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin. This was the first movie that introduced the Jack Ryan character in film. Getting back to Hunter Killer, I saw this movie when it came out in the theaters, but knew it once it came out on Blu Ray that I would have to purchase it. I know some will say the premise of the movie is a little far fetched, but hey, we all need a little escapism from our daily routine to entertain us. So if you at all enjoy this type of movie, I would highly recommend it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.They were eager to show me the newest of the dvd players and television.

A very respectable action/ adventure film with a very interesting story line. Gerald Butler can do no wrong in my opinion and he continues to prove my point. Gary Oldman's performance is way over the top, but that is what he is best at. I found it to be riveting suspense and great special effects all through out the film. Easily could get a sequel or two from this beauty.

Action starts right from the beginning and is non-stop throughout the movie. Lots of tense moments that leaves you on toes. The storyline is very intriguing and script well written. All the actors give great performances and characters interesting, with exception of stereotypical bad guys. I enjoy every movie Gerard is in and this one will not disappoint.

Very good action movie with great actors and a lot of suspense

This is a truly awesome movie. There is suspense, action, political intrigue, and a fast paced plot. What happens when a highly placed Russian government official stages a coup with the intent of starting WW 3 ? The only way to find out is to watch the movie. Gerard Butler does a awesome job portraying a submarine captain and of course, the good guys win. This movie is also a win. Buy it today!

I like Gerald Butler and Gary Oldman as actors and this is the 1st time that I have seen them act together in a movie. I wasn't sure whether this was going to be a "B" movie that was rushed out to just make money for the studio or whether it was a good thought out movie and directed well. It turned out to be the later. Loved the film, actors, plot and action and I believe that you will, also.

Always enjoy movies with Gerrod Butler. Some violence of course but not over the top. Great action that keeps you on the edge of the sofa. Curl up with a bowl of popcorn and this movie!

The story line is well conceived as it continues to put the US vs Russia as serious adversaries with a twist. Instead of the US being led by a usurper of power, Russia is. Action is very good and so is the realistic confines of submarine warfare. Subs are Not spacious as some other sub pix indicate (Hunt for Red October). Actors do a good job in their roles except for the XO. He would have been put in the brig.

SUBMARINE MOVIES ARE HARD TO COME ACROSS BUT THIS ONE IS THE BEST TO COME ALONG SINCE "CRIMSON TIDE. " THE SUSPENSE KICKS IN FOR THE ONSET & KEEPS IT GOING UP TO A NAIL BITING FINISH. BUTLER IS MAKING A LIVING OUT OF THESE ACTION FILMS & IS QUITE GOOD. GARY OLDMAN DOES HIS USUAL FINE WORK. SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE A LITTLE WEAK BUT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE MEAT OF THE STORY. DEFINITELY WORTH ADDING TO YOUR ACTION MOVIE COLLECTION!

The tension between Russia and America plays out on land and under the sea. Brace yourself for a movie that brings to light, heroes not only for Americans but to Russia. A powerplay which almost causes World War III, thwarted only by those who believe that there is a way to bring into play another way to resolve the chaos and find out what is actually going on.

This movie was an unexpected hit! Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it looked good…after watching it, I would highly recommend the movie! Definitely 5 stars!

I can't just review this movie here don't want to spoil the action, the fun, and surprise. To add the intense and the immersive experience you must have a good surround sound (not sound bar) and 4K big screen at least 55" and above. I sounded like a salesperson but believe me. And make sure no neighbors around you to complain the noise.

I had never heard of this film before but my brother recommended it. It has some of my favorite actors in the cast, and that would have been enough, but it really is a great film!

This was such a great movie in theaters, I had to get a DVD as well. It's just as wonderful at home! It's got submarines, a cat and mouse game, and an actor (no spoiler) I will never forget, who passed away soon after this was completed. It shines a light on the humanity of people on both sides of the Russia-US barrier.

If you liked submarine movies such as U-571, The Hunt For The Red October & Crimson Tide, then you'll like Hunter Killer just as much. Unfortunately for this movie, it wasn't given the greatest reviews & as such, didn't make as much in the theaters. However, I find the movie to be a must see for its action in & out of the water.

The movie starts out slow as far as action goes, but after the photos of the "Russian" sub show.....well you'll have to watch the movie to find out the rest. Action filled and may be too intense for the younger generation. The digital copy is a great viewing option when waiting...if you have one of the supported platforms.

It was a good slow movies at some point but most of the times there was a breath taking, I was holding my breath and my heart was pounding so hard. Oh my Gosh I love the main character,or you can call the actor. I watched a lot of his movies.

A submarine film has been long overdue, and this one was surprisingly very satisfying. An untested American submarine captain teams with U.S. Navy Seals to rescue the Russian president, who has been kidnapped by a rogue general. Lots of non-stop action and suspense and the visuals and SFX were outstanding. Don't miss it.

I thought everything was portrayed as real as we might believe it to be. Is the commander a rogue skipper or does he have something else in mind. His actions though seem treasonous at times are exactly what needed to be done in the end.
