The best piece of home exercise equipment ever

Whether you are a rower or not, the mechanics of this equipment are great - low impact and yet it exercises your whole body and enhances cardio. I am actually an ex rower and the way this feels is much closer to actually being on the water than other machines I've used - the "catch" when the virtual oar bites the virtual water is much sharper than air-fans (Concept 2) and the resistance during the rest of the stroke is more authentic and adjustable than the water-rower which I used to own. That's the foundation - without that, it wouldn't matter how good the video part is. But the video part is really wonderful; when the weather is bad or you are in quarantine, how about a row on Loch Ness? Copying the technique of the athletes is really helpful and they are nice people - and they don't expect everyone to be an expert. And the live-rows (even though on East Coast Time) are fun to join sometimes. The whole family uses this (although not as much as me!)

    Great Engaging Workout for Anyone

I’ve have been using the Hydrow with my family for the past few weeks, and we love it. The online workouts are very engaging with the athletes. The unit itself if very smooth to use. The only issue we had was with the WiFi. I switched to hardwire Ethernet to solve without doing much troubleshooting. It is quiet so that you can row at almost any hour. While expensive, if it gets you to exercise consistently, I highly recommend it.

This will not be used to hang my clothes :) Very good quality rower with beautiful esthetic and great rowing feeling. It's quiet and very intuitive. Monthly subscription does worth it, trainers are very good and keep you interested and motivated. Usually I am not the one that gets passionate with gym hardware or online classes but in this case I think they design a great product / system.

Excellent rower and great content. This is the Peloton of rowers. There are a lot of classes to choose from regardless of. your experience level. The instructors are great at explaining everything and I love that they are on the water while doing the class. It is not the cheapest out there, but it is a quality product, solidly built with excellent content. Easy to assemble, you only have to add the from foot and the monitor. I would highly recommend.

I own a Peloton bike and I use it regularly. The biggest issue with the bike is that it's almost all quad. Your upper leg is working like crazy and the cardio is really intense. The problem with the bike is that it doesn't do the rest of your body. I bought the Hydrow to try to get a full body workout and it's really great. You're effectively doing a squat, crunch and push up each time you row. When it's over you really feel as though you've worked out your entire body. The classes are great too. You see the instructor on the screen and you're mirroring them, so when they go fast so do you. I took a class yesterday and they were in Miami and there were dolphins in the open water. It was pretty neat. Anyway, it's nice to go stroke for stroke with them and it makes it a lot more enjoyable than a traditional rower. I love it and my family has been using it more than the Peloton.

Been looking around for a exercise equipment that would give me a full body workout and the Hydro is the best choice I made. The classes it offers are really good and motivates me when I am feeling like I don’t have much left in the tank. The ease of use and assembly was very easy. Overall a great buy and I use it 4/5 times a week.

I just bought this and got delivered a week ago. I have also paid for the streaming program. I have used it so far few times and I love it. The hydrow is so smooth and quiet to use and the streaming program is really making it easy to learn rowing the right way and use it. There are 100s of programs to choose from and since I am a newbie I started with the beginners session and really like it

I’m an athlete trying to stay in shape during covid times. First off , if you were like me you are researching everything on this machine before you buy it . All I’ll say is if you have the ability and finance to do it then DO IT! Everyone with negative reviews is telling you how expensive it is , how the monthly membership is too expensive . If $ 38 a month is too expensive for your health then 1: you’re silly and 2 : go for runs outside, it’s free. Noise : barely any noise. if someone is watching tv while you’re using this machine, It would not be a bother. Quality : built to last . I’m 6”1 255 lbs I have no problems with this machine nor do I think it will give me Problems later . Very durable and heavy Content : the reason I went with this instead of The Ifit selections ( pro form , norditrek ) you cant beat olympians or Olympic level athletes working you out. Sorry but i don’t like the 24 year old hipster in New York trying to work me out in neon lights . I want the real deal. I want knowledgeable and seasoned athletes to show me the way . As an athlete, I want to stay motivated and excited to workout . I get that and more with Hydrow . $38 monthly for the content is completely worth it ! The machine is expensive but once you get it you will understand why / this machine is heavy duty and beautiful . Everything you want in a machine

A full body workout that’s easy on your joints?! Yes, please! After an easy set up we were able to use the Hydrow the same day it was delivered. The options for rows are endless and enjoyable. Our whole family has begun to use it and we recommend it to anyone looking to add some cardio into their life!

Short version: get it - it’s well worth it. Long version: I’ve had it for a month, and I’ve been on it every single day. Workout: FULL body workout, and it’s very engaging. You also dictate how strong the resistance is by how hard you push off - so kids and adults can use this without changing anything really - plus you can have multiple user slots. Interface/online workouts: I admit, I was initially very wary of working out with videos - I didn’t think they would be effective. I was wrong. The videos are done extremely well and there are a good variety of personalities you can connect with. They also have a wide range of different types of workouts in the library that are tailored to any workout goal you have in mind. I also love the online community - everyone is soooo positive and helpful. The races are extremely competitive and there is a feature that shows what place you are in for any workout - definitely brings out that competitive mindset many of us have. Personally: quarantine sucks. I haven’t worked out as much during this time, but this machine has given me that passion again and has revitalized me. Price: yea it’s expensive. But you get what you pay for. I also got the warranty from BB because they are awesome with their warranties.

I hesitated for a while because of the price and then there was a $200 discount and I went for it. After all my research I'm so glad I did. I have been consistent with workouts since it was delivered and installed. Love the workouts, the instructors are really awesome. I made a decision to leave it in my living room by my window where it is in my view everyday. I noticed my endurance and strength building after 2-3 weeks and now noticing more tone in my legs, shoulders and arms...and my abs are coming back. Woohoo! if you're on the fence, like I was, go for it.

I absolutely love this rower. It is very quiet, well built and has great functionality. The interactive classes really motivate me to workout everyday and once I learned the form the workout intensities increased. It's a great workout! I would highly recommend rowing to anyone looking for a new workout option and this machine makes it that much better.

I can't get enough of my Hydrow. The quality is excellent. Commercial grade and smooth as silk. Much to my surprise, the workouts are very engaging thanks to the athletes and producers. The Hydrow FB community is a bonus. I've rowed everyday (twice on weekends) since picking this up VERY easy to assemble. Wish I would have bought one sooner.

The Hydrow Rower is awesome. Easy to install and even easier to use. I enjoy all the different workouts from length of time to difficulty and location of the instructors (who are magnificent). It's fun to compete with the other rowers and be encouraged by all the comments.

7 days active, this thing just keeps me and my wife motivated. The athletes/coaches knows how to push and encourage good form. I'm improving everyday. the $38 monthly is what turn people off, but it's about the same as peloton. I don't understand the negative reviews when they don't even own it. Gives it one star when they find out the fee. Anyways, the rower still has tons of potential, I believe there are more feature coming. This is more beta and it's already an amazing machine. Get one, and experience for yourself. If the $38 is too much, then get a concept 2. Was gonna give it 4 star but the black friday sale pushed it to 5 and a great buy at $1199.

I had never used a rowing machine in my life before purchasing the Hydrow. I was looking for a treadmill/stationary bike/rowing machine to exercise while stuck at home and opted for the Hydrow due to the (almost) full body workout! It was super easy to put together following the video and it recommends a guided workout every day that will kick your butt! Great buy.

Ugh- warning you have to pay for a membership

I just got this today, so excited and set it up. The rower is really not functional unless you have a membership which is $38 plus tax. Jeez! It is Smooth without the program but there is no way to adjust anything without the membership. That is almost $500 a year!

If you’re familiar with Peloton, this is the same idea for rowing. This is a high quality machine with a large screen. The classes are live or on demand, only with Hydrow they’re actually out on a river instead of in a studio. All the music is licensed as well.
