The Hydrow is definitely a pricey investment, but I've been extremely happy so far with religious use of it over the past month. Hopefully it holds up well for years to come! I definitely recommend having at least two able-bodied adults to move/unbox/set up the rower, otherwise pay Best Buy to do so as it is HEAVY. Not sure I understand some of the poor reviews of people not knowing a membership is required; that is stated very clearly, and honestly one of the biggest draws to purchasing this rower, as the all of the class options and instructors are phenomenal!

Overall it’s a great tool for recreation exercise. The instructors do a great job of motivating you and making workouts fun. The build quality is sturdy and the LCD screen does a good job handling glare. The only reason I’m taking a star off the review is that the seat ‘catches’ if you don’t sit just right, and you’ll feel this slight clicking as you row. It doesn’t cause you any issues in terms of performing the workout, but it’s annoying and it makes me worry about the long term wear it may be causing. I haven’t had a chance to research if this is a common problem or not, so it’s always possible that it’s not a product defect at large.

First YES you have to get a subscription or the machine doesn’t work. The subscription is part of why I did this. The instructors are engaging encouraging and really work on form and execution. The workouts range from 5 to 45 minutes at least from what I’ve seen so far. You also have the options for cool down and now Pilates. This is a fantastic work out for me due to my knee injury, as it doesn’t over tax it.

Very smooth. Easy in home delivery. Simple to put the 3 or 4 pieces together. I like the programs that you can follow for months.

I love the Hydrow. It's a great full body workout that provides the ability to get a cardio and some strength training all in one. The instructors are all amazing and make the workouts fun and fly-by. It's enjoyable enough that I now workout 5+ days a week, which was the goal for buying it. They have over 4000 workouts, including non-rowing oriented ones for strength, flexibility, and Yoga. All in all a nice well rounded machine and service.

Very smooth , lots of different rowing options and trainers , locations , background music which can be turned off , screen quality is awesome, sound is good / basic . Gives a awesome workout and keeps you interested. Even has yoga and Pilates. I use this along with a treadmill and bow flex max trainer , but you would get a great workout with it on its own. Overall very happy with my purchase . I had called customer service for just some basic questions and they were very helpful and pleasant.

Rower is fantastic, but here are some complaints. Heart rate monitor feature does not work with more popular android watches or the apple watch. Without subscription, free "Just row" features are really limited basically you waste that nice screen you paid lot of money for go to waste. Subscription fee at $38 plus tax feels bit on the high end with no free trial period included with purchase of $2000+ equipment. Overall very good product but just wish it included better standard features.

This has been the best piece of equipment I have purchased. Great product, well made and the workouts are amazing. Never get tired of this workout that gives you 86% of your body a cardio and strength training in 20 minutes. Over 1 million meters and this allows anyone at any age to get benefits. Love it- won't go without it!

I wavered back and forth over getting this due to the price tag and the monthly fee to get access to the programming. However, since I am still not ready to return to the gym it seemed like the time to make the investment. The design is sleek, it blends with the decor nicely and it’s just been fun to use. The programming Is excellent and great for beginner to expert. Only caution is towers are pretty long and you don’t typically realize that at the gym.

Excellent workout. Enjoy the goals and guided rows. Bought 1 yr subscription and am happy so far. Logged over 150* meters in 1st 2 months. Cod not justify the 1K difference in price on original Hydro.

I had Hydrow Rower for over a month now. Been using it five times weekly and a great supplement to my other workouts (yoga, weight lifting, etc.). Hyrdrow is solid machine and provides outstanding workout in 10, 15, 20 minutes increment. It's great to be able to row when I need to exercise when don't have an hour or more.

Nothing is better than the real thing, but this rower comes pretty close. The unit is pretty heavy (assistance would be needed to move) and easy to assemble. It is sleek and the monitor is pretty big with crisp visuals featuring knowledgeable athletes, and the beautiful locations they visit. I like the fact that I can take other classes besides rowing such as Yoga, Core Strength and Pilates utilizing the monthly service. However, I wish there was a bit more variety for On The Mat classes, but other than that I am happy with the Hydrow and beginning to build a rhythm with my rowing.

I have always loved rowing machines and being able to stream classes has been a lot of fun. I got this while it was $1000 off so I feel that $1200 is an ok price but $2200 is a bit much.

Best investment ever! Can’t stop rowing! From the design of the machine to the quality of the classes, the experience is phenomenal!

This is a truly fantastic product. Feels exactly like the real thing, vast array of workouts guided by amazing expert rowers in real sculls. You can enjoy a workout and some wonderful scenery. The "destination" rows including Loch Ness, Henley on Thames, London, San Diego, etc. add variety. So much better than anything comparable out there like Peloton, Life Cycle, Concept 2 rowers, etc. And rowing is a much more "complete" workout for the body.

Sleek design, top of line instructors and an amazing total body workout. This is worth every penny!

I've used this every day since I picked it up. This was a great purchase and a great deal for a Hydrow. There was a slightly better limited-time deal direct from Hydrow if you included an extra rebate you can get from a friend's referral, but they are 6 weeks out and Best Buy has them in stock. Plus with the on-the-mat kit included and signing up for the best buy card, I saved money and got it the same week I ordered it. These things aren't cheap, but so far its been totally worth it. Thanks!

Rower is relatively quiet, screen is large, and large and growing library of on-demand and live programs is wide-ranging. Highly recommend.

I bought this as the Pelaton of rowers. It’s very sleek and stylish, and well made. Only upon receiving it did I find out it is completely unusable without the $40 monthly subscription. Nowhere in BestBuy or the Hydrow site do they fully make you aware of this - it’s buried in the FAQs. It literally does nothing without the online $ commitment. I’ve never seen this. Even a Pelaton bike is functional as a stationary bike without the service, you just don’t have access to the online classes, metrics, etc. And to be clear, I appreciate the online capabilities, and planned to use them. But this is a very young company and was unknown to me prior to BestBuy. If they happen to go out of business, which is a valid risk if their business model requires such a high fee (Pelaton now offers a $13 monthly fee) you will be stuck with a 200 lb paperweight you invested thousands of dollars into. That’s just too high of a risk. If they introduce the ability to use this as even a rudimentary rower without the monthly fee I would gladly keep it. But until such a time I would avoid the risk if I were you.

To be honest, it’s a little addicting. I liked it from the start and after almost a month of use I’ve found myself trying to squeeze in extra workouts. I’ve never been a fan of classes or instructor led fitness but the team they have leading the workouts does a great job of motivating, distracting when needed and entertaining. It’s an impressive piece of equipment, quality is great and it’s a solid, sleek build
