Poor customer service

It does not have moving parts so it's confusing as to why it heats up when using. Asked Best buy about it and they told me it was normal. I should not have listened to them. Anyway weeks later, my external drives stopped working while using this thing. I called HyperDrive and they strung me along and then finally realized that this unit needed to be replaced. However, they wanted me to spend more money by sending it to them and THEN they will send a replacement! Right, they will send some refurbished junk! This thing is still suppose to be under warranty. THEY should send me a new one then have a prepaid return package for me to send this one to them. Better to stay away from this company.

correct docking station

When at home found that the MacBook had two USB-C ports I knew this was the wrong docking station. I did try this one and it work fine, but covered one of the USB-C ports. Found the correct docking station with the two USB-c ports.

Needed Accessory

Plug it all in

The ability to charge an iPhone from the computer is great, along with the option of inserting an SD card and plugging an external drive in (all while the computer itself is charging) all at once. It's quite sturdy and connects solidly to the computer as well.
