Unfortunately the whole unit hangs off the small pin that plugs into the computer. If you bump it all it loses connection and cord plugged into it by nature will move the USB plugs and loose connection. It’s not a very good design. I returned it and bought a hub that had a cord that plugs into the computer And the hubs that sits freely on the table next to the computer where I could actually move around or get bumped and still maintain its connection.

I am not happy with the way this little dock seems so flimsy hanging onto the side of the computer. I think it might ruin the only power input socket by sort of wiggling about. Also I have to take it off to be able to remove the usb stick that is also plugged in.

Overall positive experience with this product. Worked as advertised.

I ended up having to spend even more money just to use my new MacBook Pro.

You must purchase this with the new IMacs, as it’s an additional way for Apple to make money. There are 2 output ports, one for the charger and one for docking station. This is to add your iPad, IPhone, wireless mouse, and any other connections needed.

The HyperDrive 7 port universal USB- C it is awesome, I connect with a TV when I need larger screen.

Had to return the first one because it did not work. The staff at the store indicated they had several returned and thought they had a batch of defective units. After a trying a second one I discovered there is a trick in getting the device fully connected. It appears it is plugged in when it needs to be pushed in until you hear it snap in place. I'm guessing that is why other's were returned, Product has worked fine with no issues.

Awesome gadget. After 5 trips to the store for a bluetooth keyboard when all I really needed was ths device.

I purchased this Hyper Drive with my new Mac Book Pro on June 12, 2020. This product does not work well with the Pro. The only part that plugs in is the charging port. The connection is very poor and mine has already gotten to the point that I have to keep it pushed in with my finger to remain connected to the Mac Book Pro. This may work well for other units but definitely not the Pro. I would not recommend this product. Best Buy would not work with me to exchange the item.

If you own or plan to own a new Macbook, keep in mind they only have thunderbolt ports. Don't be that dongle person, this accessory is a must have and contains all the ports you can ask for.

Love being able to utilize a usb connection to my Mac. This is a great product that is nice an compact. It fits nicely into my travel bag too!

You will loose access to both thunderbolts. I'm still unsure

Huge downer was the lack of accessible ports companies have been pushing for. Sigh of relief this technology exists as it is a mainframe for any connector you may have. I haven't found one that doesn't fit to this jack of all trades. Kinda pricey but get it on a sale, you'll need inevitably. Stamp of approval. Gently remove and place as it flexes a little during those times, but after a couple uses you'll get used to it.

Great when converting from pc to Mac. Great price.
