Wrong item, Not for Desktops

I even said this is for laptops will it work for desktops and he said yes. Well guess what it did not! Where are the experts when we need things to work.

NO WAY AROUND IT

I purchased this item on 12/5/2020 and have to purchase another one because the connectivity wears out quickly. The connection is not sturdy and really just haphazardly hangs from the side of the laptop.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I believe I paid $80 for this item just for it to fit loose on my MacBook Pro port and after about 3 uses on it, it burned a hole in a chip by the port that gives the laptop knowledge of power and now I have to get my MacBook repaired because it will not turn on/charge anymore.... very regretful purchase.

Hard to connect

I found out that you really have to shove it into the computer and have it perfectly lined up for it to stay on. Once it is on it takes a minute for the plugged in devices to get power from it. I miss just having all the ports on the laptop itself.

Bad mini usb-c port

When device is plugged into laptop, the mini usbc port does not work. Tried several times to charge my laptop through the new dock station but it never charged.
