Ugh, I forgot this thing was 80.00. It works decently on a Mac and was a lifesaver during N exam when my magic mouse stopped working (replaced with a USB mouse). It feels pretty flimsy, though. To a noticeable degree. They give you this extra part that is supposed to give it more support, but it makes it harder to conjoin this to the mac. In desperate times, it got the job done, however. Regardless, I would say it should be 35.00 max.

Great addition for adding additional features to my laptop

As other users mentioned, the connection is unstable. It lasted for one year and a half and was burned last week after I plugged the power cord of my Mac directly into it. Not sure if that were the cause, but it never worked again.

This item is almost useless unless your laptop has the audio-jack just side to the USB Type-C Hub, otherwise it doesn't stay firmly attached.

I got this back in december of 2019 when i purchased a new macbook. This hub worked well for the first 4 months however now it barely connects to my laptop at all. Download speeds are ok, not the fastest but not bad. It also can read an SD card pretty well, but again definitely not the fastest on the market for such a high price. As noted by may other people who have bought this hub, it has a hard time staying connected and now I have to unplug and plug it back in several times to work. In regards to connecting it to devices via the USB 3 ports it often doesn't even recognize or connect my macbook to those devices consistently. Honestly if i were you i would just buy a better USB C adapter hub for half the price here.

Spend the extra 20 for a corded hub, this thing is awful.

Q: could this product be used with a Desktop Computer?

The product does not have a reliable firm connection and mine eventually stop working, the adapters are unfortunately not covered by warranty.

This thing is garbage. It has never worked very well. Since day one I've had to jiggle, wiggle, disconnect, and reconnect in order to get the HDMI port to work with my monitor after multiple attempts. Testing with different cables and adapters has pointed to the fault being with the HyperDrive. Recently the HDMI port stopped working completely. At this price point one would expect a much more reliable product. I do not recommend.

Have to remove case every single time I use this. Wish the employee who recommended this would have mentioned it. I missed my return date by two days and now I'm stuck with it.
