I have to monitor it and try to be gentle so it doesn't come loose. It is still usable, but I wish I could have tried other options before ordering.

Works well, plug issues with M1+ Macbook Pros

The black plastic bracket, meant to hold it more securely against the Macbook has a bottom lip that prevents the connectors from fully getting inserted into the new Apple Silicon Macbook Pros’ USB-C ports, (they have a somewhat thicker side). It still works fine without the bracket, but now you are stuck with a gap between the hub and laptop side, and presumably less secure attachment to the laptop. The bracket wotks as intended with Intel Macbook Pros.

I bought this thinking I was and it turns out I use it daily. I had zero idea that I would need this little thingy as much as I do. It's super easy to insert and the software that goes with it automatically installs and saves. Super easy for a gal like me that knows enough to just be more confused!

Apple docking station

It looks like its part of the laptop and greatly expands the ports so I can use more than one USB when I'm plugged into power. The build quality is excellent and it doesn't get too hot. Highly recommend

I did not like that, especially using it to connect external drives. I ended up buying a single usbc adapter instead.

Well, as long as it’s space gray it ties in perfectly. LoL. Even if you have an alternate color it is a life saver for connecting to an external display, a “regular” USB drive, or for needing a SD card reader. I have used it countless times and never feel like it is cumbersome. It is sleek and streamlined. Thankful also that it still retains the standard 2 usb C ports. Comes with a usb C extension and a nice, leather maybe, carrying/storage pouch.
