Customers are saying

Customers regard the DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub favorably for its USB-C and other ports, compatibility with various devices, and ease of use due to its magnetic design. Many appreciate its quality and the additional ports it provides, along with its thoughtful design. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit and connection stability, and some reported that the device gets warm during use. The overall user experience appears to be positive, despite some reported drawbacks.

So far this hub works great! I've used it for mouse and keyboard dongles, and USB drives and SD cards. It seems to be pretty fast - I haven't noticed particularly slow speeds in data transfer. I like that the attached bar adds stability and helps keep the hub in place better than my previous hub. And I like that the bar can be reversed to be used on either side of my MacBook Pro. The product info suggested that hub could remain in place while the laptop is closed, but I don't recommend it. While that added piece between the laptop screen and keyboard is minimal, I did notice that the laptop did not seem to close all the way and I wanted to avoid that added stress on my machine.

Finnicky, but good clean looking solution

Good clean looking solution but can get loose so your A/V may cut out, or worse, if you have an HD connected, will 'unplug'. As long as you keep it secure, does its job.

    Words well - wobbly connection

I purchased, at the salesperson's recommendation, this unit because it has two points of connection which we were told would make it more stable. While that likely is the case, it is still very wobbly - seems a bit fragile. Not sure it was worth the extra high price.

    Didn't Work As Planned

This unit doesn't snap correctly to the side of the 2020 MacBook pro which is a little different than previous models... So in order for it to work right I have to use it without the spacer, and what then the weight of whatever is plug in puts a strain on the station

It works well but the magnetic piece goes under the screen so it can't close fully. I sometimes feel like it might break the screen.

Great concept but I couldn’t get it to stay in the ports. It would slowly push itself out. May have just been a bad item. I exchanged for one similar from the same company that plugged into Mac using a cord.

This device does the job but I feel for the price it feels cheaply made. It has to be used upside down which is a bit annoying. However, it does what it is supposed to do.

had to remove the black spacer to get a good solid connection on the usb-c connection. Once that was done the external drives were connected and readable. paid $79.99 for this and poorly designed
