Customers are saying

Customers regard the DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub favorably for its USB-C and other ports, compatibility with various devices, and ease of use due to its magnetic design. Many appreciate its quality and the additional ports it provides, along with its thoughtful design. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit and connection stability, and some reported that the device gets warm during use. The overall user experience appears to be positive, despite some reported drawbacks.

it did not allow me to use my thunderbolt despite the recommendation of the Best Buy employee, so it wasn't workable. I returned it. It also did not fit my mac book pro with my cover case on it.

Nice size for all it offers - I am having trouble getting transferred items to my MacBook - Still have to work out the bugs, as it isn't as easy as I thought

All these type docks/adapters are expensive but there aren't really any other options. This Hyper HyperDrive Duo 7 port USB-C hub works flawlessly. You can connect the Mac to an external monitor as well as add a mouse etc. Good stuff. Wish everything was cheaper though...sniff sniff.

It works and it looks good but the plastic piece does not allow me to close the screen. Once you take it off there is a large gap between the laptop and adapter. I would expect them to anticipate that people would close their laptop... but I guess not.

I have used this device with my MacBook Air to connect to an external monitor as well as extend ports. It does heat up a little bit but not enough to be an issue. The external cable extender allows me to set it on the table or use it with other computers. So far I am very happy with my purchase!

Does Not Work with Microsoft LifeCam webcam

So, sure, it expands the ports, but I found that it will not process a Microsoft webcam. I had to get a separate dongle in order to allow it to pick up the feed for video and audio. It works fine using the Apple made port expansion. Also, the magnetic strip was clunky, and I opted not to use it, but now there is stress on the ports since it is not a flush fit. Overall, not a fan, but I'll deal with it. It is my work computer and never moves

Wow! I was so worried about the USB I have along with my hard drive "how would I fit it through my new Apple laptop port. Having a variety of USB docking station - I was able to continue using those features without having to start all over again. Along with using my camera storage devices in it as well.

I bought the first one during their crowd funding it lasted me many many years but sadly that time had ended. I opted to grab the new one due to how well the original worked, and I must say i am very impressed this model is great and fits even better on the side of the mac book pro. It is a must have accessory!

It fine when you plug an external hard drive or phone, but if you have an Apple Super Drive DVD+RW/CD-RW and you plug it in to this adapter, your Mac won’t recognize it. Had to by an adapter from Apple to get the super drive to work.

I bought this to use with my new MacBook Air. It's very streamlined, and I've been leaving it plugged into the laptop all the time. I use it to connect the HDMI from my tv and to connect to various USB devices. I bought it based on a salesperson's recommendation and am very pleased.
