This hub is perfectly fine as long as you don't intend to use it while your MacBook lid is closed. I keep my lid closed 99.9% of the time since I use external monitors. The lid doesn't close fully / properly while this hub is plugged in if you're using the magnetic strip that comes along with it because the strip has a lip that seats itself about a quarter of an inch onto the surface of the open MacBook. I tried it without the magnetic strip and don't care for the exposed gap it leaves between the hub and the side of the MacBook. If you keep your MacBook closed most of the time like I do, find something different. Even if you keep your MacBook open while using it, be careful that you don't close your lid while the hub and magnetic strip is connected - it seems it could possibly do damage to your screen if the lid is closed with even a reasonable amount of force.

Product was overall beneficial, it was a need, especially cause it has so many features. Definitely recommend

A fantastic addition to my new MB Pro. This accepts all of my "old" cables and cords while looking as if the Apple team designed it. The intentional gap allows for use of laptop cases along the mounting side.

This added the much needed ports and Ethernet capability to my MacBook Pro. Its space grey and somewhat matches my MBP. I was lucy enough to score this on sale, but it is definitely worth the full price. Yay connections!

I didn’t think at first I needed one but with school & owning a Mac... I suggest you get one. very necessary.

Had to return it because the docking station detaches itself very easily even with the magnetic strip. Seemed like it would have affected the mac book pro 16 usb ports. Also aligning the two usb ports with the mac was difficult. I know there is a single port adapter but then it defeats the purpose.

This extra attachment for the MacBook Pro 13” M1 is a must to add in your gear for extra commodity. You can add a monitor for better work flow. 2 usb, 1 hdmi, card reader and 2 usb-c. Connects with ease.

The addition of a micro and SD card reader are really hand as well as using the USB ports for an extended drive

This product really helped my son in his virtual education. He was able to connect his monitor with ease through this product. It is very reliable to use and I would recommend to anyone needing an adapter.

I'm so glad I just picked an all-inclusive "all-in-one" converter, thank you Best Buy for recommending me. I want to know if I can connect 2 at a time for 2 external monitors on a 2020 Macbook Pro with 4 USB-C ports.

This was easy to use and worked but was very flimsy and kind of got hot on my new MacBook Pro. It may have even left some stickiness (something like glue?) in the ports of my MacBook Pro due to the heat. Half of the time I was worried it would break and snap bc of the flimsiness. I returned it.

I bought this hub for my new macbook pro and to be honest I'm a bit surprised with the high ratings. The connector doesn't want to even go in all the way which I'm sure that's what the black bar is meant to hide. But even with that, my macbook doesn't take a charge whenever the thunderbolt is connected to the hub. It is very finicky. I would expect higher build quality with the price on this. I bought a hub from Amazon for my Macbook Air that was a bit more cheaper than this that doesn't give me problems. With this hub I even have to unplug/plug back in my USB bluetooth receiver for my wireless mouse. I'll give this a couple of days but if I don't see any improvements I'm returning this.

Does not fit correctly on the Apple 16 inch. Not sure on the other models. Other then that. It does it’s job.

Didn’t fit well, couldn’t use with the case or when the lid closed, had issues getting the dual monitor setup to work

Very good product. Little expensive for value. I found the similar product on Amazon for 1/4th the cost.

Works fine except when the device to hold it to the computer is attached. Then it does’nt work at all.

This 7-port adapter is perfect for the new MacBook Pro! All the ports you would need in one. Best part is that it still works with the Incase cases if you don’t use the little adapter strip on the port hub
