Helps connect multiple devices and HDMI

Especially when you shift your laptop around, even a little bit. Due to it having a loose fit. Also can’t close the laptop all the way. The little black connector piece gets in the way. So you have to remove completely for transporting and shutting down.

A must have accessory for any modern MacBook Pro

It greatly expands the connectivity of the modern MacBook Pros with much needed ports. And with the reversible nature of the magnetic attachment, you can even put one of these on each side of the 16" MacBook Pro to have up to three monitors with two connected with HDMI. These are excellent devices. The only thing about them is that they are quite snug, so you really have to push them on there and make sure the light is on. Oh, and the power passes through these as well, so you can plug the power cord in through this device.
