Customers are saying

Customers regard the DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub favorably for its USB-C and other ports, compatibility with various devices, and ease of use due to its magnetic design. Many appreciate its quality and the additional ports it provides, along with its thoughtful design. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit and connection stability, and some reported that the device gets warm during use. The overall user experience appears to be positive, despite some reported drawbacks.

    Junk

HDMI port only delivers delivers 1080p max to 2160X1440 monitor using either my 16" MBP or 2019 MBA--and I'm using the same cable that delivers full resolution and MHz from my Windows laptop's HDMI port. The capability to deliver high-res video at 60hz was the main reason for buying this thing. The plastic spacer is supposed to be magnetized. It isn't. The drive won't stay fully seated in the USB-C ports and must be frequently snugged up for it to work. This morning I discovered that at least one of the USB-A ports has stopped working. Completely, useless junk -- and a waste of $100. Too late to return it, so straight to recycling pile.

    Terrible Update

Got a new MacBook and wanted an adapter like this after working with an older model on a previous MacBook. This update is terrible. Without the magnetic adapter, there is a clear gap between adapter and MacBook which makes it highly susceptible to damage. With the magnetic adapter, it didn't seem to fit correctly. There was wiggle from front to back and just didn't feel secure at all. Also, with the magnetic adapter, the lid does not close properly and may end up damaging lid/screen meaning it would have to be removed every time you want to close lid. If you have the proper sized case on your MacBook, this might be a reasonable option and not using the adapter. I purchased a knock off on Amazon for about half the price and fits and functions much better.

The only problem I have with this port is staying in. One slight move and it comes out just enough to eject everything. When it is plugged in, it works great.
