Customers are saying

Customers regard the DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub favorably for its USB-C and other ports, compatibility with various devices, and ease of use due to its magnetic design. Many appreciate its quality and the additional ports it provides, along with its thoughtful design. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit and connection stability, and some reported that the device gets warm during use. The overall user experience appears to be positive, despite some reported drawbacks.

    It works

It works but not really a fan. One “feature” is the ability to fit flush on case wearing laptops with extra long connectors. Most people aren’t using a case, do it’s odd to not make this an alt sku product. Because of the spacer for cases, when it doesn’t have one, you need to use the included grip that still doesn’t allow the dock to attach all that firmly and it also disallows the computer from shutting while it’s connected. It’s a side mount docking hub but I think it’s more likely to be used with the included usbc extender cable like an ordinary hub Worst part...price. Way too expensive.

I recently purchased a Hyper-DUO 7-Port USB-C hub.USB-C Docking Station for Apple MacBook Pro. It was simple to set up on my computer. It attaches to the left of my computer, plugs in easy and is unobtrusive. You just forget that it's there. I've had no problems with the device and devices like flash drives, for instance are easy to plug in and remove. I would recommend this product.

It would be nice if I could leave it plugged in when closing the lid. I had to exchange it because the "Magnetic strip mounting" did not fit properly, but it seems that they all come like that. I works well overall.

Just received this hub, and connecting was easy and fast to my MB Pro. Working from home and connected my external monitor via the HDMI port. Fit is perfect with the magnetic grip, and it comes with extension cable to use with my iPad Pro.

This has worked great so far for me as my school provided us with another type of hub but that one gave out. And what I like about this one is that it’s on the computer. It doesn’t stick out too much so it doesn’t take up space.

This accessory for MacBook Pro's and Air's with USB-C ports is a great adapter for using wireless mice, flash drives, and any other peripherals that use USB-A connectors. It also takes SD cards from my DSLR and can connect an external display using HDMI. It fits perfectly along the side of the Mac, and has worked perfectly so far.

Horrible design and build quality, ports work fine

I had high hopes for this device. I really need to be able to expand the ports on my MacBook Pro. But, I would recommend you pick a different option, unless you have to have it right now, this might work for you. First, the device functions fine. No complaints. All the ports work as expected, the power passes through and charges the MacBook as it should. My issues are with build quality (very low quality, not solid feeling like their other devices) and design (you can not leave it plugged in and shut the laptop which was a huge oversight on their part).

The HyperDrive DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub Docking Station was what I needed for attaching my power cord, phone charger & mouse to my Apple MacBook Air. It works fine but is was a little pricey.

The HyperDrive Duo is a great accessory to adding other devices such as a printer, digital scale, HDMI, etc. It is very portable and comes with an extension. The gray color matches very well with the laptop and makes it look like it belongs with the laptop. Operations wise so far no complaints, very device attached works like it should.

A must-have with the new Macs. Works pretty well but have had some connectivity issues when plugging & unplugging old usb's. Seems to a problem with most of these. Love the look.

Works but some HDMI cables may not work with certain model TVs/Monitors. For instant, it doesn't work well with all Samsung monitors and tv's. Some require a direct connection.

I bought this hub with hopes that it could eliminate some clutter, be easy to put on and take off, and give me some usb 3.0, hdmi for a second monitor, work with the laptop power block and my usb2connector to a backup disk. It was all of that and relatively inexpensive too! Have been happy so far after 2 months of daily use.

Perfect complement to MacBook Pro M1

Love this product! Absolutely essential if you just, like me, bought the M1 MacBook Pro. The Black ridge is a bit of a double-edged sword...on the one-hand it ensures the unit stays in place. On the other-hand it's too thick to allow you to close the screen so it has to be removed. That said, this hasn't really been an issue as I only close the screen when I'm using it to travel when I rarely need more than one usb c connection for charging it. I would love to see a version of this with an ethernet adapter but then it would probably need to be thicker than this unit so I'll just get (another) adapter (USB c to ethernet) and I'll be good to go. Great product and good value!

I was hesitant to get the new Mac because it lacked having the necessary ports that I need for it to benefit me in my workday. When I discovered this and purchased it and plugged it in, this is a lifesaver. Makes everything so much easier and puts so perfectly it looks like a part that came with the Mac.

Wife uses it on a macintosh air laptop and she's been happy with it thus far. After a couple years all the ports still work and it almost matcher her computer. I would recommend if you also own a computer which trades an advertisement with cool music for functional ports.
