Customers are saying

Customers regard the DUO 7-Port USB-C Hub favorably for its USB-C and other ports, compatibility with various devices, and ease of use due to its magnetic design. Many appreciate its quality and the additional ports it provides, along with its thoughtful design. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit and connection stability, and some reported that the device gets warm during use. The overall user experience appears to be positive, despite some reported drawbacks.

I was hoping this would be a great replacement to a corded dongle but becuase i have an incipio case on my macbookpro the device will only connect if i dont use the inluded guard or spacer. It does not have that clean look without it and honestly youre better off with either a dongle or a dock station if your using your macbook pro as a desktop replacement

There are many much cheaper options. Yes, they are slower on the transfer speed, but the average person definitely doesn’t need to spend $90+ on this.

The first thing I noticed about this hub is how compact it is. The seven ports (two USB-C, two USB-A, SD, micro SD, and HDMI) are tucked into a small device, with just enough space to use them all at the same time, if necessary. The build quality is solid -- lightweight without feeling cheap. The hub occupies both USB-C ports on the left side of a MacBook Pro, and comes with a magnetic adapter hold it in place and avoid accidental disconnections. The ports are, well, what they are advertised to be -- with the caveat that only one of the USB-C ports is is Thunderbolt, the other is a straight USB-C port. It also comes with a short (approx 3 inches) USB-C male to USB-C female cable so that you can use the hub on other devices (that don't have two USB-C ports side by side like the MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, if you use it that way, only one of the USB-C ports will be active... so it's either 7-in-2 or 6-in-1. Either way, you add USB-A ports, SD and MicroSD card slots, and an HDMI port. Overall, this is a slim, lightweight, convenient hub that feels well-built, and does what it says it's supposed to do.

Will stop working in a year

Initially, my main dislike was that I couldn't close my laptop completely if the hub was plugged in, but as of today which is less than a year since I purchased this device, the ports stopped working for the USB slots and the card readers which renders this thing completely useless to me.

I bought this in June of 2021 - it worked great at first but it’s now starting to break down and the HDMI part of it doesn’t even work with my monitor anymore.. This adapter is also a little flimsy and I wouldn't recommend. It didn’t even last me a year :(

This hub did not work on my new Mac Book Air. It was difficult to install and did not fit all the way in, leaving a gap between the hub and the laptop. It also covered the power port when it was on. I returned it and got a different one that has a cable connector ("j5create") that I find much better

Does not fit properly on 2021 m1 16” Macbook pro. It blocks the charging port (MagSafe 3 port). Can consider using the available usb-C port on the hub for charging (will need an additional usb-c cable).

I was hoping for the price this would be better quality; unfortunately the HDMI output has stopped working. Initially it worked fine, then sporadically. Now, it is a struggle to get to work. Haven’t had any issues with any other connectors; this one is just bad.

It worked well for first 2 weeks. After that HDMI port stopped working. Verified by using old HDMI adapter for my Mac in other that there's no problem with cable or monitor. Tried multiple combinations to get it working but I think it is broke. Returning.
