Worked about 4 time total then stopped.. Hasnt even been a full year, have kept it in its case and just doesnt work anymore. Also doesnt stay on well at all if you have a case on your Mac, even if it is super thin…

Didn’t allow my external monitor to charge when connected through this port. Interface for USB was such a bad fit, my mouse USB chip snapped off in the port as I tried to remove it. Returned and bought a replacement for less than half the price that’s working great.

Not that sturdy with Mac book. Falls off with little touch.

WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE! What a complete waste of money. The stupid thing cost seventy dollars and doesn’t work properly. A nuisance hanging from the side of the computer. Have to use upside down to work! :(

I wish I had a lot to say about the HyberDrive, but it's just a very nice little gadget to have available in your bag for you MacBook Pro or your MacBook with dual USB-C ports on the side. It extends the number of ports available substantially and provides a lot of backwards compatibility in one little gadget. Setup is just unnecessary. You plug it in and you're ready to go. The magnetic support makes the whole thing sit and feel more secure than the older HyperDrive. Closing your MacBook with the support attached KIND OF feels like it's a tight fit but it does fit. So you start with 2 USB-C ports on your MacBook Pro and you end up with a full speed (40Gbps) USB-C port, a 5Gbps USB-C port, 2 USB-A 3.x ports, an SD card slot, a MicroSD card slot and a 4k60 HDMI port. If you ever need more than 1 of these adapters at the same time, this is probably going to be your best friend device. Both of the USB-C ports support USB-C PowerDelivery as well so you do some fast charging if your have devices that support it. With the move to USB-C, a lot of devices are just left behind during this transition time. The HyperDrive does a good job of looking great while allowing you to keep utilizing these older devices without needing 4 or 5 separate dongles in your bag. Any professional that still uses USB-A disk drives or needs an HDMI connection, or needs to regularly offload data from a MicroSD card device (or maybe you use all of these regularly!), this is the one gadget you need. It looks great and blends in well with your MacBook Pro and just offers so much additional functionality that was lost with the transition to USB-C. Can't recommend it enough.

If my computer even moves slightly everything because disconnected. I either have to restart or relaunch finder to get it connected again, resulting in files not being saved properly and damage to hard drives.

didn't work. Don't know why. Just didn't work. Trying to use it on a brand new macbook pro 16, and just nothing happens when you plug it in. I returned it and bought a different one, which did work.

Can't put it into the computer without removing computer. still wouldn't recognize CDs or thumb drives. Had to return it and get a much better item that was even lower in cost.

Hdmi port was bad and after reading the other reviews others arw having the same issue. Will not recomend and it does not allow the screne tp close well plughed in. Not worth the money.

It’s incredibly difficult to pull items out of the USB ports and when I pulled out the adapter after my first use the rubber piece that goes above the two USB-C ports to my computer end fell off.

this is a recommended accessory on Best Buy's 14" macbook pro web page. It does not work with this computer-- the USB hub blocks the magsafe charging connection.

I bought this unit for my Macbook Pro. I burnt up 3 power cables using this unit. I returned it and have not had 1 issue since.

Not very happy with this item. It said that I could use it with my MacBook but it doesn’t work at all!! I wouldn’t recommend this item to anyone.

This is a powerful USB-C Device that gives you a one-stop shop for all of your connections. Hyperdrive is great device to add to your MacBook Pro or Air but it also works just as well on PC. Design-wise it is nice as it magnetically attaches to the side of the Macbook; It adds elegance without looking too bulky. The HyperDrive slim and it works pretty fast as well. Every single port worked fine with outstanding transfer speeds. For Macbook users it takes up two USB-C PD slots but also has 160w and 60w so no worries about not getting enough power. Dual Power Delivery is a great feature to have. HDMI output was @ 4k 60hz which was great so no problems there. Also, this comes with an extension cable which is a plus. Overall it's nice to have this much expandability on a device that lacks enough ports. It's a dongle no less but it doesn't get in the way of too much especially if you have it magnetically connected. This will indeed give you more connections to a device that desperately needs some. I can't complain too much it works the way it was intended without any issues on my end.

DOESN"T FIT my MacBook Pro 16. waste of money. I bought it to use it as my docking station, this product damaged both USB-C ports, I do not recommend this product.

Very poor quality. The port loosens up easily causing connected screens to go out and in again and again. I will not recommend this product.

This product does not go in all the way into the port and will start to unwilling eject your devices over time. Its very annoying, and now I have to get another one.

Slim-line notebooks like the MacBook Pro and HP Spectre are great for travel but limited to number of ports for accessories. This USB Type-C hub is the solution. My MacBook has 4 USB Type-C ports and a card reader so this hub provides the USB Type-A and HDMI ports that are missing. It plugs in to the left side dual USB Type-C ports and works as designed. Issue though, even with the included magnetic clip, the connection seems flimsy and I am concerned it will loosen with time. This hub really shines when paired with my 2017 HP Spcetre-13. It only has two USB Type-C ports and no other others. The hub does Not plug directly into the Spectre, port dimensions being slightly off. Two USB Type-C extension cables solve this problem and the hub works perfectly. The HyperDrive-Duo 7-in-2 USB Type-C Hub is a great addition for anyone looking to expand their connectivity with a minimum amount of external cables and accessories.

Did not work with my MacBook Pro 2021-14” (error message received-usb needs to be plugged into power) I returned for a refund.
