Returned. This device did not work with my mac pro. It connected but would only show my background on the tv. No icons or anything else would appear

Could not get this dock to work with my MacBook. It would charge it okay, but my monitor and peripherals would not work through it.

It doesnt fit properly. Please do not buy!!!! Get the Adapter one with the cord that connects

I was hoping to give this a better rating but it stopped working the day of my presentation.

Did not work with my usb that I was trying to use and for the money spent on it expected a lot out of this product had to return.

Very convenient and minimalist - portable. HDMI jack is a real plus. A bit difficult to plug in and out of the laptop.

Hyper has the ports Apple left out of your MacBook Pro, Ipad Pro or MacBook Air! The Hyperdrive Duo 7 in 2 uses the two USB-C ports on newer MacBook Pro/Air into 7 ports. This effectively gives you all the ports you need and 4k 60 hz video via HDMI, USB-C 40Gbps 100W and 5Gbps 60W Power Delivery, 2 x USB-A 5Gbps and MicroSD/SD 3.0 UHS-I 104MB/s). While this is made to fit and match the newer MacBook pros you can use it with any device that has a USB-C port. The HDMI will only work with USB-C gen2 (display port enabled USB-C ports). You use the supplied extension cable to connect to single port devices. I was able to use the ports abet one at a time with my pixel XL running android 10 but not the HDMI. You can also use it with an iPad pro or older MacBook air or PC with single USB-C ports. The hub is driverless and connects immediately. There is a magnetic spacer that attaches the hub to your MacBook pro, if you have a case you remove the spacer or the plugs will not seat well in the USB-C ports. This hub supports pass through charging as well as data transfer for USB-C devices. The hub fit well and the magnetic spacer kept it attached to my MacBook pro well. All the ports worked as advertised. The HDMI allowed me to connect to my LG OLED tv at 4k60hz wow! If you don't want to carry around a bunch of cables or have a spider web of hubs and adapters this hub is for you.

The HyperDrive - DUO 7-in-2 USB Type-C Hub for MacBook Pro - Gray is a second rendition of the HyperDrive, but poorly executed! Offering basically everything the first version of this has, minus the power light, the DUO 7 offers nothing new of noteworthiness. The addition of a removable magnetic bracket to help secure it to your MacBook. I found this product to be redundant to the previous iteration of the HyberDrive. While it boasts the 7 in 2 input feature it removes the power indicator light and adds an awkward, and basically unnecessary magnetic bracket. While the overall functionality of this device is great, the light is something I missed and the bracket was cumbersome. It also makes it impossible to shut your mac as the bracket sits on top of the keyboard surface just enough that you would bend your mac to force it to close. This make the bracket worthless for my uses as I often need to close my mac without unplugging everything. The addition of the bracket did not secure the device to my mac in any real way, only added the damage risk to the lid and decreased functionality of closing my mac. The USB-C extension did not make much sense to me either. I did not find any reason I would ever need it or use it. The device itself is made of quality materials, solid construction and adds the needed inputs to your mac where Apple removed them! The "Vegan" leather pouch is not designed well as the device and addons do not fit in it at the same time. It is great for the device, but pointless if you must keep the magnetic grip and USB-C extension with it. PROS - HyperDrive Quality and Construction - 7 in 2 input capability including: 1 HDMI, 2 USB, 2 USB-C, 2 Media Card inputs - High Speed data transfer in all ports NEUTRAL - "Vegan" leather pouch - USB-C Extension CONS - Magnetic "grip" bracket does not allow closuring of the Mac - Magnetic "grip" bracket is unnecessary and cumbersome Overall, if the price is better for this version over the older version, I recommend purchasing this item. If not, get the older version as you have less "addons" that you will likely never use or just throw in a drawer/trash.

This is a great addition to my MacBook Pro. Apple is crazy to remove all the ports except USBC ports. This adapter helps fix that issue. While other adapters are very bulky and larger than the sleek MacBooks, this one fits perfectly. There are 3 USB B adapters, and an HDMI. There is a magnetic attachment that helps it to stay in place. Comes with a carrying case and extender cable for USBC connection. Does get a little warm when you are using it.

The USB ports do not work. I haven't had a need to check any of the others.

Did not stayed plugged in. Couldn't risk damaging my external hard drives.

Doesn't fit well. Bad recommendation from salesman. Should have bought an Apple AV hub instead.

Does not fit the 2019 MacBook Pro 13 inch. The plug ins are too far apart.

Took a bit longer to write my review due to a issue I had with my device. Really cool all in one device that you can use for other USB type devices and output to a TV all at the same time. Used a USB 64gb jump drive read and play was was really fast. Transfer of files fast due to USB 3.0 and type c interfaces. Even can charge while plugged into a tablet and smart phone aside from the Mac book. Even though it's designed for the MacBook pro It really does work well as a hub for USB type devices the newest Android devices too. Used on the Samsung tablet and smart phone to measure performance. And real world usage as a hub.
