The usb A ports were also so tight that I struggled to plug anything in them at all and was worried about causing damage to my drives and my laptop. I bought it on sale for a good price and the brand was recommended by a Best Buy employee so I exchanged it for another hoping for a better result. Unfortunately there wasn't one available in the store so I couldn't check it out before I left and had it shipped to home. When I opened it and tried to plug it in the prongs wouldn't insert all the way into the ports on my laptop. I tried the cord that came with it and same thing. I plugged my phone cord in as the laptop is new and wanted to be sure that the ports were functional and it worked fine. The docking station just hangs loosely on the edge of the laptop and because I can't plug it in properly may devices can't connect to the laptop. I would not recommend this brand.

It's too pricey for the quality of the connection. I guess if you are using just regular USB it works fine.
