    Not enough power out of either USB ports to power external Even when add lighting power to hyperdrive does not power Other brands on market are stronger... poor factory customer service... long phone holds and longer return calls!!

    Had to buy this because Apple has taken away USBs. That being said, it works. It stays in securely. You really have no choice.
