Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the HyperDrive 7-Port USB C Hub's numerous USB ports, ease of use, and compact size, finding it convenient for expanding their MacBook's connectivity. However, some customers express concerns regarding compatibility issues, the price point, connection stability, and the device's tendency to generate heat. The sleek design is frequently praised. Despite some drawbacks, many appreciate the added ports and user-friendliness.

Seems well made but had to return for a corded hub that doesn't interfere with a protective case.

This seemed like a good idea at first, but the dual USB ports was awkward to connect and it was anything but reliable. I retuned it the next day.

If I could give this a zero rating I would. The idea is good, but the actual product is terrible. It's hard to insert into the computer, and hard to remove. Also, when you remove a drive you've inserted into this adapter it unceremoniously pulls the whole adapter out of the computer, thus interrupting any other storage device that was also plugged into the adapter. I returned it and bought just a super simple adapter that works much more reliably.

There are WAY better options out there. This dongle will not work when a case is installed.

The SD card reader only works with UHS 1 cards. No excuse for that in 2017. It also has quite poor connections. I would look elsewhere for an adapter

I didn’t get this out of the box until it was past the return date and I’m sorry I didn’t. Doesn’t work. I tried to plug it in and because of the design it doesn’t fit into the plugs squarely. I hoped it would make enough contact to work and plugged in my HDMI to attached an external monitor to my 2019 MacBook Pro. No luck. A waste of time and money.

I purchased this item because the reviews I read for the most part said this was the best drive to expand ports for my week old MacBook pro. It didn't even work out of the box since the item wouldn't fit flush and would only connect if i held it in place. For a $100 item there is no excuse that it doesn't fit properly especially if it is specifically designed for this computer.

I bought the hyperdrive to use with my new MacBook Pro 15" laptop. The drive must be pressed hard to fit into the two ports it requires - to the point that you worry abiut breaking something. After doing that, it is still such a loose connection that just touching it can cause connections to devices e.g. drives to fail. Don't waste your money like I wasted mine.
