Steer clear

There is simply no excuse this $100 was dead on arrival. It does not socket into the usb-c ports on the laptop firmly and feels very flimsy. You will most certainly unplug the entire thing upon attempting to unplug anything that’s plugged into it and that my friend is not worth $100. Simple.

Doesn't work with hard shell computer cover

This is a fail on Apple for not suggesting or providing accessories, a fail on accessory makers for not making sure their products can be used how people usually use them and a fail on Best Buy for putting noncompatible items on the "recommended" list.

Kills Wifi

Calling the internet provider, my router manufacturer, etc. finally I discovered that if I unplug the hub, the wifi works great!. I have an other dongle for more than a year and works great.

Took It Back

Unfortunately, the hub didn't work consistently. It kept coming loose in the USB-C socket and my external drives were constantly disconnecting. After two days, I returned the hub and tried a different device. Hopefully, it will work as advertised.

Stopped working shortly after buying

The screen on the laptop and TV would flicker. A few weeks later, it stopped working. Then the USB ports stopped working for external drives. Confirmed it was my HyperDrive by using my roommate's adapter.
