Most of the ports on this item would never work properly. We kept it quite a long time, thinking it was just us, but after many attempts, it stopped working all together. Now we couldn't get any refund and we are stuck. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

It wouldn't "click" into my Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports on my MacBook Pro 2018. It aligned with my ports and went in about 3/4 of the way, but it felt like I had to "force" it in the rest of the way and I wasn't about to force a $90 part into my $2000 Mac. Unfortunately, this is going back.

This USB-C dock sounded like a great idea but once I attached it to my MacBook Pro I didn’t like the way it fit. It seemed loose and I thought that it would eventually wear out my USB-C inputs. It wiggled around too much and kept disconnecting. So I returned it and I bought a Dock from Monoprice.

Now when I plug something in, for example a headphone my computer thinks it’s still plugged in, I have to manually change the volume output setting. I have a brand new Apple MacBook Pro. Drive is also Not as fast it claims to be.

I had just purchased a new MacBook Pro. This hub plugged in to the 2 C slots but soon was coming out due to gravity. I tried again and the C slot on the hub wasn't getting the charge through to the Mac. I returned it and purchased a different type that seems to be working. (For the same price.)

This popped up in the screen as recommended when I purchased my MacBook Air. It looked like a good idea, so I purchased it. However, it will not even fit on the model that I bought! Stupid! No problems returning it, but unnecessary!

This is the best hub/adapter for the 2016 MacBook Pro. Period. If you are like me and hate the fact that the new MacBook Pro has only USB-C ports and nothing else, then this nifty accessory will solve all your problems. The HyperDrive is about the size of a pack of chewing gum but packs all the ports you need: HDMI, Thunderbolt, USB-C, microSD, SD and 2 USB 3.0 ports in a super compact aluminum enclosure that matches the MacBook Pro in terms of design and color (it comes in 2 MacBook Pro colors of Space Gray and Silver). No other hub/adapter has that many ports in a smaller form factor. With it, I can easily connect my MacBook Pro to my 4K OLED TV, the LG 5K UltraDisplay which also charges my MacBook, microSD from my GoPro, SD from my camera and a variety of USB flash drives, hard drives and peripherals. Bear in mind that this only works with the latest 2016 MacBook Pro since it has a unique 2 USB-C input connector design which only fits the 2016 Macbook Pro, it WILL NOT work with any other USB-C laptops unless they have the same 2 USB-C ports layout and spacing (very unlikely). The HyperDrive occupies 2 USB-C ports on the 2016 MacBook Pro but returns 2 USB-C ports on the hub as well (one of which supports Thunderbolt 3.0 while the other is purely for USB-C data). The HyperDrive is the only hub/adapter that I ever need for my 2016 MacBook Pro and it has made my MacBook Pro useful again. I highly recommend it for anyone who has the new 2016 MacBook Pro.

I placed a card from my camera in the slot. My Mac book indicated the card was there then soon after said it was ejected improperly even though the card was not removed. After several more tries it now doesn't even read the card. The card reader appears to be shallow with a lot of play in it.

Item would not connect to my MBP. Frustrated, I returned to my local Best Buy store in Charleston, WV. Even though I was within my return period, they refused to refund my purchase. I do NOT recommend this item!

It's not user friendly Doesn't fit to the ports as well

I thought this device would allow me to add devices to the laptop since the newer laptops have fewer USB and/or lighting inputs. What I found was this piece did not allow enough power thru to run a CD/DVD external drive, thus this is useless now.

It’s too big and bulky. Doesn’t have enough outlets/ports.

Too costly and not a Apple product. Mandatory for new Macbook Pro.

Thought this would be The perfect gift but it doesn’t work at all...completely useless! And since I bought it early friend can’t return it now, so I gave her an overpriced ugly paperweight. Couldn’t be more disappointed in this item

This would be a good product if it would actually stay in the laptop. The way it is designed it does not want to stay in the ports and keeps falling out even when just sitting on a table during use.

Doesn’t fit correctly so signal comes and goes. OK.

Big disappointment for $100! Loose. Mouse quits working.

the 60W port fails to connect anything at all, constantly. Why does Best Buy allows such a unreliable lousy maker knowing 90% of people would just return eventually? I wouldn’t touch any product this name brand makes in the future.

Had to buy this $100 item so i'd be able to use a flash drive, and other output devices. but was not even told i need a certain cord to charge my phone to my mac pro since this hyperdrive doesn't charge with a regular phone charging cord .

Bought this device so that I could have an external monitor attached to my MAC. The problem with this is that you cannot have your power cord plugged in at the same time you are using this. My opinion - not meant for daily home use.
