Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the HyperDrive 7-Port USB C Hub's numerous USB ports, ease of use, and compact size, finding it convenient for expanding their MacBook's connectivity. However, some customers express concerns regarding compatibility issues, the price point, connection stability, and the device's tendency to generate heat. The sleek design is frequently praised. Despite some drawbacks, many appreciate the added ports and user-friendliness.

I mean its a no brainier if you have a USB C only Mac Book. So its good. Its expensive. But its seamless and blends in well with the Mac Book.

It's vert lightweight and doesn't stay in the side that well so you have to be very careful with it, but I've never had an issue with it working so best to pay a little more to have a nicer one. I rarely even need to use it. If you have any time of casing for protection on your computer you have to remove it on the bottom so it will fit which is kind of annoying.

The hyperdrive works great and matches the look of the MacBook Pro well. I only wish it had an RJ-45 port for network although that would most certainly have required a thicker device. It'd also be nice if one of the USB-C plugs "folded away" in order for the device to be used in other machines besides the MBP but...it doesn't. That's my wishlist. If you don't need those things you should be happy with this purchase.

I might this because of the macbook pro does not come with all the ports in which it used to on previous models. It works fine. The color is just a smidge off though

I was looking for something to Connect my sad cards and USB’s to upload GoPro videos because I realized my Mac doesn’t have the slots anymore. This is perfect for its size and I’ve never had an issue with it not reading anything I’ve plugged into it. Comes with a carry case to protect it and small enough to fit in virtually any pocket!

So I bought this adapter with great expectations of it working great but this product failed to deliver. Right off the back when plugging in the adapter your WiFi goes back to the good ol dial up days. Experienced this for a couple of days. Then you can barely moved the computer with the adapter mounted because it disconnects with the slightest touch. I deffenetly would not recommend this product .

This is very easy to use, only issue is that it clips in flat against the Mac so you have to take bottom case off to use, which is annoying

This device allows the use of previous adapters and cables. Also, allows for Hd multi-screen use. The number of ports is sufficient.

Purchased the USB Hub because the new MBP only had type C Hub ports and needed to connect some type A peripherals, also needed for standard HDMI port. Purchased a protective case for MBP and not able to use with the bottom portion of the case. When using the hub just need to take off the bottom portion of the protective case.

It works, but it's surprisingly hard to get it pushed in enough to make it work. It's also hard to remove. I guess that's all kind good news, because the connections are tight. It gets hot during use, which suggests that it's using more power than it should. But it does work as it should.

I knew when I bought my MacBook Pro that I would need the ability to connect to more primitive connections. The MacBook Pro has 4 USB-C ports, two on each side. This hub uses two on the side opposite where the charger connects. The USB-A ports and card slots and other ports I haven't used make this a versatile device. One caution: it must be pushed firmly into place until it clicks and the power light comes on, indicating the connection has been made. My first try didn't work because I didn't push it in firmly enough. Recommend this for your new MacBook Pro.

I bought this for my MacBook since there aren’t any USB ports at all (you’d think that would discourage me from spending over $1K on a laptop like that but I digress). Like previous reviewers stated, the color match isn’t perfectly identical, but it is very close that upon first glance you wouldn’t notice. It works great and sits very flush to the laptop so I am never worried about it accidentally detaching or slipping off my laptop, however it is very snug and a bit of a struggle to remove.

Bought this in order to support connection to external monitor, keyboard and mouse. Was pleasantly surprised to find it had USB3 ports which are not on the MacBook Pro. Nice device. Could be improved by a more stable connection to the laptop; I’m concerned it will become disconnected or bend the USB-C ports when not on a flat surface.
