It has all of the ports you need to use most any peripheral. Just kind of tarnishes the look of the MacBook by changing its shape and the end without the ports can be a little bit wobbly.

This hardware is absolutely necessary to connect your peripherals to the MacBook Pro. Get 50 Gbps or higher, if you can find one.

I was bummed when I found out my new MacBook only had two usb-c ports, so I bought this. It's nice to have for all the different plugins, but hard to remove one item without pulling out the entire hub.

I tried this one with all the ports and it serves my purpose very well. I didn't do stress testing but it works as expected.

Because of my job, I regularly use tons of usb ports. You will noticice a bulk but it's truly not a big deal. 4 stars because for some reason it doesnt charge my iphone. Bought a usbc cable separately.

Not extremely fast but very portable and useful!!!

If you still have things that you used with your older computer you will need. The new macbook pro only has a total of 4 USB Type-C ports on the laptop and that is is. So if you need to get items off a memory card or want to connect the laptop with a HDMI cable you will need this.

So far this dongle has worked well. I like that it connects to both usb c ports and then gives you a port back. It makes it feel more sturdy. Works well haven’t had any issues.

Fantastic for travel, but not so great for everyday desktop use. I bought this for my wife, and at first it was great. The issue is that over time, the port plugs get a little loose, and the devices begins to fall out of the ports its plugged into. If this were something you are using occasionally, like for travel for example, it would be worth having. But for every day use, It needs some refinement to make it worth having. We ended up replacing this with another style dock that my wife really like a lot for everyday usage

Save your money and don't bother with this guys. Just too much going on with it and the computers that need this so that you can connect several devices won't function right with this. FAIR WARNING

This thing is super compact and lightweight, feels well built and does ALMOST everything I'd want. SD, MicroSD, wonderful - I just wish it could do HDMI 2.0 for 60hz video at 1440p/4k.

This made it easy for us to plug in some of our other devices and usb items. However it fits a little loosely so make sure your secure as you can be then don’t move it too much.

I was surprised to find I needed one of these when I already spent a ton of money for the MacBook Pro, but it works. Wish it was more secure as it does wiggle around and unplug, but it works.

It attaches easily and has worked for my SD, HDMI, and charging ports. Haven't tried the other ones yet. The color is just off from the computer itself but close enough. It also comes with a little carrying pouch which is neat. I don't remember seeing that in the pictures.

I have the new Mac book pro and you NEED this to work with USB ports and HDMI. Connects easy and doesn’t slow down speeds!

Bought this on recommendation from a Best Buy employee. I like that I don't have to have numerous different dongles and adapters for the things I need. The only issue I have with the Hyperdrive that it does tend to come loose from the Macbook Pro if you're not extra careful. Placing it on a flat surface works best.

I had another hub that was inconsistent at recognizing my devices, particularly sd cards. This hub worked without issue.

I will say that I wish this is something that apple included with the MacBook but they don't and this one offers all the ports you will need! I just leave mine in the side of my MacBook all the time, it works great. I do wish that they had it in rose gold though so it would match mine!

Another good device, works well with our Pro. Like most Apple peripherals, a bit pricey but at least it's a slightly better value than Apple branded products.
