I purchased this as the new macbook pro is so refined, many of the necessary connections are not available without a hub of this type. For the most part, it does what I need, but here are a couple of limitations for me. The first, I believe is obvious and I knew when I purchased, but sometimes I like to plug directly into a ethernet connection for faster than wireless speeds...this hub does not have an ethernet wired connection port. I also run a super drive cd rom, and this hub does not power the cd rom. An additional usb c to usb a is required to use the super drive.

I wasn't thinking when I purchased the new Mac Air about not having USB ports until after the purchase. I ran to Best Buy and ended up getting the Hyper Drive and love it! I just need to plug it in and I have 2 USB ports, a SDS Card slot and love it.

This is a must have as it expands what you are able to connect to your MacBook Pro to get the full experience. It is reasonably priced and works flawlessly. Given it looks like a natural extension of the MacBook is a plus as well.

Great slimline design but big issues. 1st one defective so returned. Second one ok but is had to keep powered up. USB ports too close together so you cant use 2 normal FOBs at once. HDMI cable puts stress on the USC C ports on the mac - bending the - which is bad.

The was a great alternative since my new MacBook Pro doesn’t have any usb or hdmi ports

If you need for some reason physically connect your Mac to a router/modem, it won’t do it. Other than that, works perfectly!

Yes I found out with the new Apple computer if you want to add a drive do you have to buy the stick which is nice because the computer is superthin

This Dongle works great for the new MacBook Pro laptops. There is a HDMI connection for your HiDef TV & a couple of UBS ports that work well with my iPhone 8+ & my iPad 10.5. I can also plug in my external drive. This is a one stop drive for your dongle needs!

Although easy to use it kind of sucks that you have to spend another $100 on top of the $2000 you pay for a mac

A necessity to use as somewhat of a docking station, and works as it is advertised.

This hub lets me use my MacBook Pro at work. I can easily plug in my adaptor for a monitor, use a USB port for my wireless mouse and charge my phone all at the same time. So many Mac users have asked me about this port. Totally worth the cost.

The HyperDrive is perfect for my setup. I am able to plug in an SD card, charge, plug in a external hard drive and still have more ports left! It feels very high quality and feels very reliable. I highly recommend!

The hyperdrive is a perfect solution for the needed extra "plug ins" for the newer Apple computer 13" which only has the USB-C. The hyperdrive has USB-C, USB, HDMI, SD and Micro SD ports. Just plug it in when needing the extra ports and use.

with all the new Apple computers only having USB-C input, every coworker I purchase for gets some kind of adapter hub. My team members who do graphics and comms need a little more than a few USB ports and this one works great!

This is a must have if you get the new MacBook Pro since it only had type c ports

This a great add-on solution I just wish it wasn't as expensive. PC accessories are much more affordable in comparison.
