MUCH NEEDED ACCESSORY....

The MacBook Pro is lightweight, compact and powerful and can do many things. It CAN play DVDs and CDs and direct displays to an auxiliary monitor IF you have the HyperDrive Hub, so for me, who likes to have a 2nd display and view DVDs, this accessory was a MUST HAVE. It expands the potential of the MacBook so much, I don;t know why one would not be without one!

The only thing I don’t like is that even though it can be used on both sides of the computer if you use it on the right side it covers the head phone hole. Either using a Bluetooth headset or being left handed would fix the problem

Keeps My Peripherals Relevant

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once I upgraded to a MacBook Air, I knew that it only had two USB-C ports, so I was concerned about attaching my existing peripherals easily. This solved the problem - no extra wires or connectors, just a single piece that locks in to the side of my MacBook Air and allows me to connect everything I had connected before, including an HDMI port for my external monitor.

Great, but pricey

But when it comes down to when you need it, i guess the price is worth it.
