    ...for me. The MacBook Pro is lightweight, compact and powerful and can do many things. It CAN play DVDs and CDs and direct displays to an auxiliary monitor IF you have the HyperDrive Hub, so for me, who likes to have a 2nd display and view DVDs, this accessory was a MUST HAVE. It expands the potential of the MacBook so much, I don;t know why one would not be without one!

    Once I upgraded to a MacBook Air, I knew that it only had two USB-C ports, so I was concerned about attaching my existing peripherals easily. This solved the problem - no extra wires or connectors, just a single piece that locks in to the side of my MacBook Air and allows me to connect everything I had connected before, including an HDMI port for my external monitor.
