    I bought this with new MacBook Pro. The HDMI worked fine but the USB didn’t work with my apple superdrive CD drive. It said it needed power?? I had to exchange for an actual apple product.

    The HyperDrive worked with everything but my SuperDriver so I had to go another direction for connecting my SuperDrive. The HyperDriver was nice because it keeps all wires in one place.
