This is a must have for anyone with a MacBook Pro.

Good ol' apple has given you only 2 usb-c ports and you have to use 1 for power. So you look to this somewhat expensive breakout box and since it's cheaper than getting an Apple docking station, you get it. 3-6 months later you notice it doesn't stay well connected because it has worn away just enough of the connection housing so the connection is no longer tight. Your USB devices come on and off. Your analog music recording box cuts out while you are recording a live track. Your monitor flickers. You take your mac to the "Genius" bar and they tell you they don't like these and you shouldn't use them. They may offer to send your laptop off to have your usb ports fixed - but rest assured they will do the bare minimum and ride you out till your warranty is over. People need to stop buying Apple products so they will get the message and go back to making quality units that are affordable.

I just bought a new laptop and Apple is so advanced in their technology that they no longer support USB ports. Therefore, I was recommended this product. It is extremely helpful and it saves me now to be able to use on my USB cords with my new laptop. Without this product, I would be in trouble and not be able to work efficiently. Very thankful.

Need something although I wish all of this was still built in. This device is small and easy to use. I just can’t find a laptop case that works with this or any add on for this MAC

Literally need this when you get the new MacBooks!

This device is a must buy for macbook pro purchases.

When you need to extend your Macbook Air and connect additional pheriperals this works, I have connected a second monitor, Time Machine, External drive and ethernet and all work as they should. I would recommend this to other users.

The quality on this adapter is very good and has a light to indicate that it is plugged in correctly. I find I have to pull it out and reconnect to get my MacBook to see the SD Card put in after connecting this, but otherwise it works great for the missing inputs we all need. It works on either side which is nice.

I love the slim design and the case that it comes in.

I would give this a 5 star being it is a very good device...but had to return it. If your MacBook has a sleeve or cover, this device will not fit.

When plugged, its kinda loose. My flash drive was disconnected even just a small bump. I teturned this product even i got it on-sale.

Plus side: does exactly what I want. Down side: I have to take my case off to use it and it makes my laptop super hot

Unit does what it needs to do and it nicely packaged. It fits my macbook pro nicely. I just needed to adapt my cover as it needs to be fully attached and the 1 mm space with the cover would not allow the unit to connect. It needed to be totally inserted, which I was able to do by cutting a small piece out of my macbook protector.

I wanted to like this item but because I have a case on my laptop I could not use it without taking my case off every time. Ended up returning it because of this.

Hub works well for being able to have additional ports

Despite that a sales person did not recommend this because he said it will be not staying sturdy, I did buy it and tried and liked it. I wish they had it in silver color for the same price.

It supports different connections such as SD card, usb, hdmi, .. that is an advantage. However, when you connect the charger to it, it gets hot.
